A Huge Spectrum Collections Haul
Despite me telling myself I wasn’t going to buy unnecessary things, the other week I needed a serious pick me up. So, I decided to treat myself to a few new bits from Spectrum Collections. If you’ve been following my blog for a while you may have noticed that I only ever use Spectrum brushes. This is because I swear by them, they are honestly the best brushes I have ever used and I’m a big fan of Spectrum. It’d been quite a while since I bought anything for myself from them and as I was cleaning my brushes one weekend I thought I’d take a quick look at their website for some new ones. That quick look turned into this huge Spectrum Collections haul!
Here I’m going to show you everything I got in this Spectrum Collections haul. Let me know in the comments if you own any of these products!
These brushes look so pretty and summery that I couldn’t resist picking them up. I’d been wanting to get a new brush set for a while and these were just calling my name. With silky soft blue bristles and iridescent handles, this set is gorgeous! They come in an iridescent plastic pouch too which is I think will come in handy when travelling.
I couldn’t get the face brushes and not the eye brushes! I wanted the whole set so I picked up these too and I’m so glad I did. Eye makeup brushes are always ones that I seem to be lacking in. I’m just so in love with the handles of these brushes. I’ve yet to actually used them because I don’t want to get them dirty or ruin the softness. Their time will come though when I’ve run out of clean brushes haha.
I’d been wanting to try the Spectrum makeup collection since they were first released and now seemed like a pretty good time to explore new makeup. The Zodiac eyeshadow palette is a fairly neutral palette with some seriously striking metallic shades. I was really drawn in by the gold shade. I loved the packaging too, I thought it was a really cool design and it’s also incredibly sturdy. It was actually a lot heavier than I was expecting, plus it comes with a mirror too. I’ve only used it once so far but it seems really good. I think it’d be a great ‘going out out’ kind of palette.
How pretty does this highlighter look?! They had two highlighters in the Zodiac collection and I really struggled trying to pick one but Moonlight kept capturing my attention. It’s a warm-toned pink shade with pearlescent pink drops for added sparkle. It’s beautiful to look at and on gives you an amazing glow. I can see this quickly becoming my go-to highlighter.
I considered getting the lipstick bundle but when I really looked at them the only one I wanted was the Venus metallic lipstick. I love a metallic lip, I think it looks really cool and adds something extra to your look. Venus is a stunning dark red shade that seems really pigmented and would look amazing paired with the Zodiac eyeshadow palette. I know autumn and winter a very long way off (much to my sadness) but Venus is a gorgeous autumn/winter shade.
So, the day after I ordered everything above the Oceana makeup collection was then announced and released. I freaked out when I saw everything because it was so beautiful! Immediately I picked up the Oyster highlighter as it looked amazing and I didn’t actually have just a stand-alone champagne highlighter shade. Plus, it was only £12.99 so you really couldn’t go wrong!
I also got the Oceana eyeshadow palette because it looked so, incredibly pretty! I loved the look of each and every shade in this palette and it gave me serious summer/mermaid vibes. If we’re allowed out by the time summer comes around you can bet I’ll be using this palette very often, especially for those beach days. I haven’t used this palette yet but I’m very excited to create some shimmery looks with it!
I received the Dark Matter mascara free with my order and it couldn’t come at a better time as I was getting low on my other mascara. Over the last week I’ve used this mascara every day and I’m super impressed with it. It’s very pigmented, lasts all day and separates my lashes nicely.
That’s everything in my Spectrum Collections haul! I’m so pleased with everything and can’t wait to try it all out properly. If you want a review on anything just let me know in the comments. Have you ever tried anything from Spectrum Collections?
