Beauty Brands I Want to Try

January 13, 2020
Blog post

As much as I love sticking to the beauty brands I already know and am a fan of, it’s always fun to branch out and discover new beauty brands to obsess over. When I thought of the beauty brands I want to try in 2020 these six came to mind first.

Colourpop

Colourpop is a brand I’ve wanted to try for so long but 1. It’s difficult to get in the UK and 2. they have so many products it’s hard to know where to start! I loved their whole Frozen 2 collection and really wanted to get my hands on both the Anna and Elsa palettes but unfortunately, it wasn’t possible. They seem like a really fun, affordable brand with some great products. Hopefully one day it’ll be easier to get in the UK.

Fenty Beauty

When it first launched I wasn’t really interested in Fenty Beauty. I remember swatching a few highlighters in-store and hating them. However, after reading more and more reviews and seeing new releases my interest is definitely growing. I think the product I want to try the most is the PRO FILT’R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation.

MAC

I have never tried anything from MAC before, which some people can’t believe. It was never a brand I was that interested in. Even as a teenager, when everyone was transitioning from Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse to MAC, I instead moved to Bare Minerals. I feel like I need to at least add one MAC item to my collection and it’ll no doubt be the cult classic Ruby Woo lipstick.

Natasha Denona

I love the look of Natasha Denona palettes so much. They are undeniably beautiful! The Metropolis eyeshadow palette is one I’m dying to get my hands on, but at ยฃ111 I can’t justify it. It’s definitely a brand I want to try one day though if I ever have a spare ยฃ100 lying around.

Spectrum Collections

I’m a huge fan of Spectrum Brushes. They’re the only brushes I ever use. Recently they’ve launched their own cosmetics line which looks really pretty. I’d love to try out the highlighters and a few of the lipsticks. It’s all reasonably priced, beautifully packaged and, if the quality is anything like the brushes, I have very high hopes!

Lunar Beauty

Lunar Beauty seems like such a fun, colourful brand and I love the look of their palettes. My sister actually has the Strawberry Dream palette which is even strawberry scented and she’s obsessed with it. The colours are super bright and pigmented. The highlighters and the eyeshadow palettes are what I’ve got my eye on to try from Lunar Beauty.

What are your thoughts on these brands? Are there any beauty brands that you haven’t tried yet but want to? Let me know in the comments.

I hope you all enjoyed this beauty brands I want to try post. While you’re here don’t forget to subscribe to my blog. You can also follow me on Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest too. Thanks for reading!

If you can try and take advantage of when Colourpop have free international shipping or do an order with a friend and each pay for the bits you want. Personally I’ve never been charged customs either ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve currently only tried the primer from Fenty Beauty and it’s pretty good, I’d say best used with dewy foundations as it’s more of a mattifying primer but not in a bad way. I love MAC, they have so many great products and there’s nothing like treating yourself to a new MAC product. You will love Ruby Woo and it will look super pretty on you <3 x

Oh I had no idea they did free international shipping sometimes! Iโ€™ll have to keep an eye out for that, thanks ๐Ÿ˜Š Ah yes the primer sounds good too, Iโ€™m always searching for a decent mattifying primer. Definitely want to try something from Fenty this year ๐Ÿ˜Š I feel so late the party with MAC haha and everyone raves about Ruby Woo! Thank you so much! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’–

Colourpop now includes customs to the UK in the checkout process! It usually takes 2 weeks for a parcel to get to me so it’s not as bad as it used to be. It’s also not held up at the post office, it enters the Royal Mail system and gets delivered like any parcel, which is much easier.

Oh really? I had no idea! That definitely makes things easier then ๐Ÿ˜Š Two weeks isnโ€™t bad either, pretty much what Iโ€™d expect. Thank you so much, thatโ€™s all very useful to know! ๐Ÿ˜
