Beauty Product Haul
Last week I had some spare time after work so decided to go on a bit of a spontaneous shopping spree. Originally I was looking to just pick up a few Pixi Beauty products as I had never tried anything from the brand before. But of course, I ended up purchasing a few other treats so I thought I’d share with you all my beauty product haul!
Pixi Glow Tonic
I have been seeing the Pixi Glow Tonic absolutely everywhere. It’s constantly raved about within the beauty community so I thought I’d give it a try. Since buying it I’ve used it every day and it seems to be doing a pretty good job so far. It smells great, manages to take off the remains of my makeup and I feel like my skin looks a lot healthier.
Pixi Phenomenal Gel
I have been in desperate need for a moisturiser! A few months ago I ran out of my usual one and never got round to picking up another. My skin has been dying for some hydration! At the moment I think this is my favourite Pixi product I’ve tried. It leaves my skin feeling really soft and gives it a nice healthy glow. I’ve been using it both morning and night and already feel such a difference in my skin.
Pixi Rose Glow Mist
Because I’d bought two full-sized Pixi products at M&S I received the Rose Glow Mist as a free gift! I’ve been using this as a setting spray to help blend all the powders on my face together, set my makeup in place and give my skin a natural glow. This mist feels really refreshing after I’ve finished my makeup and makes my highlighter POP!
Eylure False Lashes
Lately, I’ve been really trying to get into wearing false lashes. I got a dramatic pair of lashes for Christmas which are super pretty and fluttery, but because they’re so long I struggle to apply them. So I decided to buy a natural-looking pair that I could practice applying and get used to wearing.
Stila Stay All Day Eyeliner
After running out of my beloved Kat Von D Dagger eyeliner I decided to try something new. With all the controversy surrounding Kat Von D at the moment, I don’t feel too comfortable buying her products despite my love for them (sob). I’ve only used this liner once and it wasn’t the easiest to apply, but I think I just need to get used to it. It is very black though and very long lasting which is ideal.
Sleek Matte Me Metallic Liquid Lipstick
I’m a real sucker for metallic liquid lipsticks. I know they’re not everyone’s favourite but I think they’re so pretty! I was browsing Boots and when I saw this vibrant shade, Copperplate, I knew I had to have it. It isn’t the most pigmented liquid lipstick, it takes quite a few applications to build the opacity but once on it stays there all day and looks so pretty.
Sleek Shattered Glass Lip Topper
I got this glitter lip topper in the shade Blood Stone which I thought looked absolutely gorgeous and paired beautifully with Copperplate. I’ve never tried a lip topper before so didn’t know what to expect but it dries down quickly and adds something extra special to your lipstick.
YSL Luxurious Mascara for False Lash Effect
Lately, I feel like I’ve been a bit more creative with my makeup looks and wanted to continue stepping out of my comfort zone so I bought some blue mascara. I think this will be really fun to use in the summer, either over black mascara to make my eyes stand out a bit more or by itself to really make an impression. I’m really excited to start using this and hope to get into using coloured mascaras more.
Beauty Bay EYN 42 Bright Eyeshadow Palette
I bought this palette online on the same day I bought everything else so thought I’d include it in the haul. After reading Rebecca Allatt Beauty’s review on this palette I decided to get it for myself. I’d already been debating getting it and after seeing her swatches and the amazing look she created, it ended up in my basket. I haven’t had much of a chance to play around with it yet but I’m very excited. It’s such a bold, vibrant palette and I can’t wait to create some fun looks.
