As I’m sure you can imagine the packaging for the BH Cosmetics Summer in St Tropez palette is bright and summery. With multi-coloured beach umbrellas on the front and a bright yellow font, it’s definitely reflective of the shades inside and of the season. The palette is a pretty decent size and would be great to travel with. It has a large mirror inside which I think is always handy and is made of cardboard which feels nice and sturdy.
I’m a big fan of the packaging. I think it’s really fun and for the price, I’m very pleasantly surprised to see it has such a large mirror, plus the shade names are written under each pan rather than just on a plastic sheet. It definitely feels like a really good quality palette.
The shades in this palette are stunning! Honestly, they are beautifully vibrant and absolutely ideal for the summer months. This will definitely be my go-to summer palette as you can easily create many fun, unique looks with it.
Immediately the shade Pampelonne caught my eye, which is the bright blue. I was very excited to dip my brush into the pans and start creating some looks! These shadows feel nice and buttery and they’re extremely pigmented, very little building is needed. I’d say the colours in the pan are true to what they look like in swatches and on the eye too.
I did experience quite a bit of fallout and kickback in the pans, especially from the deeper matte shades. However, it was easy to clean up with either a fluffy brush or a bit of concealer. I haven’t used every single shade in this palette yet, but the shades I have used all blend together really nicely.
As with every eyeshadow palette review, I’ve created 3 looks only using the Summer in St Tropez palette to show you all how diverse the shade range is.
For the first look, I started with Jet Set and applied this to my outer corners and crease. I then used Superyacht on the centre of my lid and Marina on the inner corners and toward the centre. For my lower lashline, I added a pop of blue using the shade Pampelonne.
The second look I created with this palette was definitely the boldest of the three. I started with Cabana and used this for my outer corners. Then I used the shade Bay for the centre of my lid and Pampelonne in the inner corners. I also used these 3 shades on my lower lash line too.
For my third and final look, I used the shade Crepe as my transition shade and then used Jet Set in the crease. I then cut the crease and used the shade paradise all over my lid.
I’m very happy with this palette and for only £12.50 you can’t go wrong! The shades are all so pretty and I don’t think there’s one that I wouldn’t use. It’s the perfect palette for summer and I’ll be getting a lot of use out of this over the next few weeks. It’s fun, bright, colourful, the shadows are all really pigmented and they blend wonderfully. There’s not one thing I dislike about the Summer in St Tropez Palette. I will be picking up more BH Cosmetics Palettes in the future so if there’s any you recommend please let me know in the comments!
