Colourpop x Animal Crossing Haul
Colourpop x Animal Crossing Haul
When Colourpop announced their Animal Crossing collection, I knew there was no way I’d be able to resist! I’ve always been tempted to buy products from Colourpop, but none really drew me enough to warrant the shipping and potential customs costs. But, on the 28th of January at 6pm I was by my laptop with a list of everything I wanted, waiting and prepared! I was so worried everything would sell out instantly, so it was a very intense 9 minutes as I added everything to my basket and got in the checkout queue. Luckily, I managed to get everything I wanted and last week it all arrived! So, today I thought I’d show you what I picked up in my Colourpop x Animal Crossing Haul.
Nook Inc Palette
The Nook Inc palette is of course inspired by the iconic Tom Nook and the adorable Timmy and Tommy. This palette was the first thing on my list. I loved the look of the shades and the packaging and shade names were just so cute. I think it’s a great representation of the Nooks and I can’t wait to try it out. The glitter shades look so beautiful! There are 4 shades in this palette which are:
- Yes, yes!: metallic vibrant mint
- Made in the shade: matte sparkle sage mint with silver pinpoints
- CEO: pastel mint with multidimensional glitters
- Water landing: matte deep teal
5 Star Island Palette
An entire palette dedicated to our favourite island assistant, Isabelle! The 5 Star Island palette is super pretty with pastel pinks and a pop of yellow which I think is great for spring. Again, both the packaging and the shade names are adorable and I can’t wait to try out that yellow/gold shade. The 4 shades in this palette are:
- Isabelle: metallic pastel yellow
- Island tune: matte peachy pink
- Island designer: true pink with multi-dimensional glitters
- Resident rep: matte sparkle mid-tone rose with gold and hot pink pearl
What a Hoot Palette
Originally, I wasn’t planning on getting this palette as I have plenty of neutrals and nothing about it really stood out to me. But, when it came down to it, I couldn’t resist, and seeing it in person made me happy I did get it. Not only does it mean I have the full palette collection but the colours are actually very pretty, especially the glitter shades! The shades in this palette are:
- Meteor shower: opalescent gold glitter
- Celestial: matte sparkle neutral peach with hot pink pinpoints
- All aflutter: metallic true copper with gold pinpoints
- Who!: matte warm red-brown
Labelle of the Ball Palette
The last eyeshadow palette in the collection is the Labelle of the Ball palette, inspired by the fashionistas of the Island, the Able sisters. This palette is full of pretty purple tones and I can see myself using this one a lot in the spring/summer months. The shades in this palette are:
- Able sisters: pastel lavender with multi-dimensional
- Tailors ticket: matte sparkle eggplant with teal duochrome flip
- Custom design: metallic pastel lilac with silver pearl
- Serene sable: matte mid-tone plum
Flower Power Blush
I picked up the Flower Power blush as I’m always on the lookout for new blushers and thought this one would be great for spring/summer. It’s a subtle, buildable pink powder blush which has flecks of silver glitter. I didn’t actually realise it had glitter in it so that was a surprise. But, it’s barely noticeable and just adds a soft glow to the cheeks.
Flower Tender Blush
The Flower Tender blush is my favourite out of the two as I generally prefer, peachy, darker tones. This one has flecks of gold glitter into which again I didn’t realise. I feel like I’ll be getting a lot of use out of this blusher as it looks so pretty and natural on the cheeks. The only downside to both blushes is that the flower pattern will eventually get ruined.
Lastly, I couldn’t resist picking up the Bellionaire glitter. When it was first announced I actually had no idea what it is, but I loved the name of it so much and how intensely glittery it was that I just had to have it. Bellionaire is a true gold glitter gel-paste that’ll really add an intense sparkle to your eye looks. I’m very excited to try this out!
That was everything picked up in my Colourpop x Animal Crossing haul. I wasn’t really interested in the lip products or the super shock shadow either as I don’t really use single shadows or lip tints either. While I haven’t tried everything yet I’m very happy with it all and am very much looking forward to playing with it all properly.
I think Colourpop did an amazing job with this collection. All the palettes represent their inspiration perfectly, the blushes are super cute, the glitter is super intense and the packaging for everything is just so fun and colourful. For my very first Colourpop order I’ve been very impressed.
