Glossybox April 2021 Unboxing
Glossybox April 2021 Unboxing
Spring has well and truly arrived and Glossybox decided to celebrate with a ‘woke up in spring’ themed box for April! We received 5 products in the Glossybox April 2021 box, three full-sized and two deluxe minis. Let’s take a look at everything that was included in the April box:
Sophia + Mabelle Eyeshadow Quad
I was very excited to learn we were getting a spring-themed eyeshadow palette from a brand new, up and coming brand. The Aphrodite palette features 3 pink-toned shades and a dark brown shade that are a mix of both matte and satin shimmer tones. The palette retails at £25 which I think is pretty reasonable. It’s a stunning palette that looks great on the eyes and blends together so beautifully. I’ve used it a couple of times now for a quick and pretty spring makeup look right before work. The packaging was also super cute too and fitting with the spring/floral theme. This was probably my favourite item in the whole box.
DWTN Paris Liquid Blusher
Okay, so, I was pretty nervous when I learned we were getting a liquid blusher. I do not get on with liquid products like this at all. But, of course, I was up for trying it. Retailing at £19.58, it comes in a tube so it’s easy to just squeeze a little bit of product on your finger. I loved the shade of this blusher, a dark pink/light red-ish tone, that again seems great for the spring/summer months. I dotted it on my cheek and used my fingers to blend it in.
As I’m not used to this type of product it took me a little while to get the hang of it. But, once it was on and blended it looked lovely and natural and added a nice pop of colour to my cheeks. I am still a little apprehensive about using it as it’s much easier to just grab one of my powdered blushes.
Feel Free Antioxidant Eye Contour Cream
This eye contour cream was my second favourite thing in the whole box. At just £4.77 it works miracles! Its main ingredients are hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, lemon and mint which helps to hydrate the eyes, eliminate dark circles and puffiness and brightens the under-eye area too. I applied this product in the morning and it felt wonderfully soothing. Then, I applied my usual concealer and I could definitely see a difference right away. My under-eye area looked smooth and bright and much more ‘awake’ I think this could very easily become a staple product in my makeup bag and at such an affordable price you can’t go wrong!
Minus 417 Serenity Legend Hydrating Dead Sea Bath Salts
We all know I love a bath and my obsession with Lush bath bombs is strong! So, I was pretty happy to see some bath salts in this month’s box. Baths are the ultimate relaxer for me. I’m usually in there for a good hour or more with a book and a face mask too. We received a deluxe mini size of 100g of these bath salts which is worth £2.17 or £10.24. for the full size which would be 500g. Enriched with healing minerals, these bath salts claim to leave. your skin feeling refreshed, soft and smooth. I have an extra-long weekend coming up which I plan to have a pampering evening using these.
Skin&Co Roma Truffle Therapy Morning Dew
Lastly, we got a deluxe sample of this face cleansing gel which I have yet to try as I’m using up some other skincare products first, but it sounds very interesting! The sample (20ml) is worth £1.98 with the full size (200ml) retails for £18.29. With Black Winter Truffle extract it claims to uplift and brighten your complexion. While the Papaya extract helps to minimise the appearance of blemishes and improve the texture and tone of the skin. It’s something I’m looking forward to trying in the future.
Total value of box: £53.50
So far, I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve tried in the Glossybox April 2021 box. There wasn’t a product that I was disappointed in or knew I wasn’t going to try. It was definitely a winner for me! Next month, there was a sneak peek of Rodial’s Dragon’s Blood Eye Mask which sounds very intriguing!
