Glossybox August 2021 Unboxing
Glossybox August 2021 Unboxing
The Glossybox August 2021 box had a very special theme to it to celebrate Glossybox’s 10th birthday! The normal pink box was transformed into a glittering pink disco ball with holographic packaging inside which was super cute. My box was actually really late this month so I haven’t had much of a chance to try any of the products yet. But, most of them look so good.
Here’s what I got in the August 2021 Glossybox:
ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine Cream
The first product, which we had a sneak peek for earlier in the month, was the ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. This deluxe mini was worth £15 which the full-sized product retails for £87! Glossybox seems to really love ELEMIS and said they had to include it in their birthday box. I’ve never tried anything from the brand before but with how many rave reviews it gets I’m definitely intrigued to see what all the hype is about. This anti-ageing gel cream is designed to make your skin look firmer and more radiant while being super moisturising too. It sounds like a dream and definitely something I’ll be needing before I turn 30 next year!
Steve Laurant Celebration Eyeshadow Palette
Next up is the product I was most looking forward to, the Steve Laurant Celebration Eyeshadow Palette! In a previous box, we’ve received a Steve Laurant lip mask which I enjoyed so was definitely looking forward to trying more products. This eyeshadow palette features 9, warm-toned shades with a mix of matte and shimmer finishes. It looks like a great, everyday style palette that will work really well in the autumn months too. I’m a big fan of the shades and the cute packaging too and I’m very excited to try it out. This palette retails for £23.
NCLA So Rich Birthday Cake Cuticle Oil
A cuticle oil is exactly what I need right now! My nails are such a mess and I haven’t had any time to go and get them done professionally. So this was perfect. The NCLA So Rich Birthday Cake cuticle oil retails for £13.80 and smells like birthday cake! It also has fun little glittery stars too which just make it feel extra special. With safflower seed oil and vitamin E, this oil hydrates and soothes your cuticles, locking in the moisture all day. It’s recommended you use the oil twice a day but I never remember to do that haha.
Lottie London Ombre Blush – Haze
So I was pretty disappointed with this product, to be honest as we’ve had a few cream or liquid blushers now and I just never get on with them. I don’t think I’m even going to attempt to use this one. It may be saved and given away to someone as a Christmas present instead. Retailing for £5.95, it looks like a really pretty colour that will give your skin a natural looking flush.
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss
The next product could’ve been many different things, from face masks to shampoo to a liquid highlighter. In my box, there was a deluxe mini of the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss in the shade ‘Plums Up,’ retailing for £5. This product, while a very pretty colour, didn’t really excite me. While it is something I’ll use I was so much more intrigued by the other products available – mainly the Frank Body Anti-Drama Facemask or the GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment.
Flexitol Resue Heel Balm
We also received an extra little sample of the Flexitol Rescue Heel Balm for dry and cracked skin. This is probably something I’m unlikely to use.
Ocean Spray Sparkling Pink Cranberry
And we also randomly received the Ocean Spray Sparkling Pink Cranberry drink. This is apparently meant to be low calorie and refreshing but it didn’t look appetising to me at all so I did just throw it away. I’ve also heard some people’s drinks exploded during transit so all their products were ruined. Probably not the best idea to include a fizzy drink in a beauty box haha.
Total Value of Box: £62.75
Overall, this box was a pretty mixed bad. There were definitely some things I was excited to try and other’s that I was less than enthused to receive. But, it’s rare that every product is a winner.
