Glossybox May 2021 Unboxing
Glossybox May 2021 Unboxing
This month, Glossybox treated us to a beautifully vibrant and colourful box to go with their ‘Let the Sun Shine’ theme. As we head into the warmer months, the Glossybox May 2021 box was filled with treats all perfectly suited for summer. There were 5 products in this box, which included makeup, skincare, and body care. Here’s everything we got:
Ciate London Gold Definer Liner
Of all the products in this box, I was most excited for the Ciate London Gold Definer Liner. It’s a gorgeous, light gold shimmer that really brightens up your eyes during the summer months. I’ve worn it a few times already, both as eyeliner and as a pop of shimmer in the corner of my eyes and love it. This liner has a retail price of £18 and is super quick and easy to apply with its twist-up pencil and built-in sharpener. I can definitely see myself getting a lot of wear out of this product this summer.
Rodial Dragon’s Blood Eye Masks
The Rodial Dragon’s Blood Eye Masks retails for £6 and is supposed to brighten and revitalise your under-eye area. Featuring hyaluronic acid and dragon’s blood extract from the Croton Lechleri tree found in South America, it’s got some great skin-loving ingredients that claim to make your eyes look instantly more alert. I haven’t actually tried these yet but they look very relaxing and have had some great reviews. So, I’m looking forward to giving them a go on my next pamper night.
Lottie London Power Foil Golden Hour
To go with the gold eyeliner we were also treated to the Lottie London Power Foil in the shade Golden Hour. While it’s a beautiful eyeshadow glitter that will make you look and feel super glam, I’m a little scared to open it! It’s a loose powder that gets extremely messy very quickly haha. But, it looks stunning on the eye and can be either blended out or layered for an ultra-sparkly look. Worth £6.95, I think it’d look great on sunny beach days, paired with the gold liner.
MineTan Rapid Recovery After Sun Gel
The MineTan Rapid Recovery After Sun Gel is probably my least favourite product in the box. Purely because I don’t spend a lot of time out in the sun and I’m not going on any summer holiday’s this year either. So I really don’t have a need for it. After a horrific case of sunburn in Greece a few years ago now, I learned my lesson and am a lot more careful now. This deluxe mini is worth £13.35 and will probably just sit in my medicine cabinet in case anyone needs it in the future.
Kueshi Lemon Shower Gel
Lastly, I’ve really been enjoying the Kueshi Lemon Shower Gel. As I’m sure you can imagine, it has a wonderfully uplifting scent that’s been great for my morning showers before work. Featuring lemon and chamomile extracts, this shower gel cleans and cleanses the skin without stripping it of moisture or being too harsh. Worth £5.70, it’s a great product that leaves a lovely lemony scent on your skin for age afterwards.
Total Value of Box: £50
While this wasn’t my favourite box, and I definitely preferred April’s Glossybox, it still had some really great products that I’m loving. The Ciate Liner and the Lemon Shower Gel have been my favourite products this month. Plus, the theme and the packaging of this month’s box was really cute!
