Hourglass Foundation Stick Review
I have wanted to try the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick for the longest time. Everyone was raving about it and it seemed like the perfect full coverage foundation. When my boyfriend got it for me for Christmas I was ecstatic and so excited to test it out. If you don’t know by now I am a full coverage fanatic so I had very high hopes for this.
Create an impeccable foundation with the help of Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick. This stick provides the covering power of a concealer and liquid foundation, while remaining weightless like a powder. Thanks to the unrivalled pigmentation of this foundation, the coverage is immaculate and long-lasting.
With minimum product, skin imperfections and blemishes seem to vanish. Covering dark circles, discolorations, and skin imperfections is easy to accomplish with this efficient tool from Hourglass, and the coverage it provides lasts for up to 12 hours. This foundation stick is available in a wide variety of tones to suit all complexion types and makeup styles.
For best results dot onto the skin and buff in small circular motions using a brush. For contouring, use one to two shades darker than the natural skin tone, and for highlighting one to two shades lighter than natural skin tone.

First of all the packaging is truly beautiful. It looks and feels extremely luxurious, to the point where I feel like I have to handle it with the utmost care. The tube is very sleek and it’s triangular shape makes it easier to apply around your nose and under eye area. It’s also compact enough to travel with, which I really like.
I was a little anxious before applying it as I’ve never used a stick foundation before, and despite the instructions on the back I wasn’t sure just how much to apply. There have been a few other reviews where people have said that they needed to use more product than what Hourglass recommended, so I drew a line across each cheek, on my chin, down my nose and across my forehead. I did apply a primer before as I normally would with any foundation. The foundation glided on and felt very thick and creamy, it is definitely highly pigmented. I used a Spectrum B01 buffing brush and it blended like an absolute dream!
It instantly covered up any redness and scarring I had while still looking like skin. It didn’t feel heavy or caked on at all, despite the thick formula, and was smooth to touch. It’s also very buildable, you can apply as much or as little product as you’d like without it becoming a problem. It leaves the skin looking natural rather than either matte or dewy which, as someone who has combination to oily skin, worked great for me.
This foundation lasted well throughout the day. After 6 hours wear I had to re-powder as my skin was looking oily, most notably on my forehead and chin. It did also transfer onto my clothes when I got changed but not massively. At the end of the day I noticed the foundation had worn off a little around my nose but the rest of my skin still looked just as smooth as when I first applied it.
Overall I am very happy with the wear of this foundation, the coverage and the finish. I didn’t have any major issues with it and think it left my skin looking pretty flawless. The fact that I didn’t need to apply concealer at all was also a huge bonus! The only downsides to this foundation is for the price you pay you don’t get a lot of product, but then you don’t really need to use loads, and that it does transfer easily. However I would recommend this foundation, the coverage and pigmentation is insane and it was extremely quick and easy to apply.
