If I Could Only Keep One…

If I could only choose one

So I was tagged by one of my favourite bloggers, Emily Burns, to do the If I Could Only Keep One Makeup Products Tag which looks really fun and I couldn’t wait to do it. Thank you Emily for nominating me, you can read her post here and make sure you’re following her if you’re not already, she’s honestly just the loveliest person!

Now let’s get into what I would choose if I could only keep one makeup product!

Primer: Guerlain L’Or Pure Radiance

This primer is one I’ve re-bought a few times now and no other primer compares! It has a nice amount of tackiness to it which makes my makeup last all day long, smooths my skin out and gives a natural, illuminating finish. Plus the packaging is very luxe and it lasts for months too as I only need to use a very small amount.

Foundation: Kat Von D Lock It Foundation

Kat Von D - 'Lock-It' liquid foundation

I honestly could not live without this foundation. I’ve tried many others but I always go back to this one. The coverage is everything I always look for in a foundation, it has a matte finish and lasts all day, is really comfortable to wear, doesn’t break me out and is basically perfect! I don’t think I’ll love another foundation as much as I love this one.

Concealer: Kat Von D Lock It Creme Concealer

Kat Von D - 'Lock-It' crème concealeI reviewed this concealer last month, you can read that here, and have been really loving it, it goes so well with the foundation and covers absolutely everything, from blemishes to under eye circles.

Setting Powder: RCMA No Colour Powder

No-Colour PowderThis powder was so hyped about which seems to have died down now but I still love it! You get so much product for a really good price, it sets my makeup perfectly without making it look cakey or powdery. It’s the best powder I’ve come across so far.

Setting Spray: Nyx Matte Setting Spray

NYX Professional Makeup Setting Spray - Matte Finish Read more at https://www.boots.com/nyx-professional-makeup-setting-spray-matte-finishSo this is actually the only setting spray I’ve ever used and I’m not 100% sure if it actually does anything haha. It feels nice when I apply it but I don’t think it makes my makeup last any longer. I’ve only put this on the list because I haven’t tried any others. I would really like to try the Urban Decay Setting Spray one day, but I’m still not completely convinced it does much.

Bronzer: Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette

Kat Von D - 'Shade + Light' face contour paletteI’m not sure this really counts, I don’t actually use bronzer but I do contour using this palette every day. It’s really easy to use, the colour choice is great and it’s lasted me years!

Blush: Urban Decay Afterglow Blusher in Video

AFTERGLOW 8-Hour Powder BlushI love the Urban Decay blushers, they’re so pigmented and look really pretty on the skin. Video is my favourite shade, I prefer the darker colours to the pinks/corals, I feel like it always looks so good with my contour and suits both the summer and winter months.

Highlighter: Anastasia Beverly Hills Aurora Palette

AURORA GLOW KITThis was so hard! It took me ages trying to choose, but I think if I could only use one product for the rest of my life it’d be the Aurora palette. It’s blinding and has a range of both normal and bold colours which I like, it never emphasises any texture on my skin and it’s just so so pretty.

Eyeshadow Palette: Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture

SUBCULTURE PALETTEAgain this was really difficult! I chose Subculture because I love every single colour in that palette, I think they’re all beautiful shades that just remind me of autumn which makes me happy. I find them easy to apply and blend and I’m always happy with the result.

Special Mention: My very close second for this section was the Juvia’s Place Magic Palette, it’s beautiful, has a wide range of colours that are insanely pigmented and always looks amazing!

Liquid Eyeliner: Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

Kat Von D - 'Tattoo Liner' liquid eyeliner Say what you want about Kat Von D but she makes some incredible products! This eyeliner is so black, lasts all day without smudging or flaking and is very easy to use due to the tiny little brush hairs.

Mascara: Benefit BadGal BANG

Benefit - Black 'BADgal Bang' volumising mascaraWhen this first came out I really wasn’t that bothered by it, but then I saw a couple of good reviews where their lashes looked incredible after so decided to try it and I was blown away! They make my lashes look so long and fluttery, it’s intensely black and pretty much lasts all day. It does smudge a little when its hot but I can live with that when it makes my lashes look that good. Read my review here.

Brow Product: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade

DIPBROW POMADEThis product is definitely worth the hype, it’s so creamy and easy to apply and will not budge until I take it off.

Lip Product: Charlotte Tilbury Glastonberry

MATTE REVOLUTION GLASTONBERRYNot to sound morbid here but I’d like to be buried with this lipstick I love it that much. I own a LOT of lipsticks but this will always be my favourite. The colour is stunning, at Uni I used to wear it every single day! It lasts really well, is easy to apply and feels super creamy.
