For Christmas, both my mum and I received quite a bit of money and instead on frittering it away on little things we decided to save it for one big shopping spree! On Saturday the 10th of February we travelled to Bristol and spent the morning in Cabot Circus and the afternoon in Cribbs Causeway. It was so much fun being able to spend the day browsing and treating ourselves! So for today’s post, I thought I’d share with you everything I got.
One of the first places we went to was Jo Malone in Harvey Nichols. I have been wanting to try some of their products for the longest time but was always overwhelmed by the scents The sales assistant was absolutely lovely and offered me a complimentary hand massage to help me decide. She sat me down and asked me questions about the kind of scents I liked and didn’t like. Then she brought over three options and I completely fell in love with their signature Lime, Basil and Mandarin range. She used the hand lotion, body creme and cologne for the massage and it was glorious! I was only intending on getting a cologne but ended up getting the body creme as well. They smell incredible and leave my skin feeling so soft.
I picked up a couple samples of this foundation about a month ago and was really impressed so wanted the full-sized product. I don’t want to say too much as I am planning on doing a review for this foundation next week so look out for that!
If you don’t know Charlotte Tilbury has always been my favourite brand for lipsticks. I have quite a few of them but have yet to try out her Hollywood Lips range. I had such a hard time choosing one as all the colours are gorgeous! In the end, I chose Dangerous Liason, a warm rusty rose, and have been loving it! Let me know in the comments if you want a full review.
I was in two minds about picking up this mascara as it had pretty mixed reviews. After seeing Sophdoesnails video on it though I gave into the hype and decided to try it out myself. I really love the packaging and it’s actually the first mascara from Benefit I own!
I absolutely adore Marc Jacobs eyeshadow palettes! Having already owned The Starlet I was dying to get my hands on one of the latest ones. Choosing just one though was the hardest part of the shopping trip! I decided to go for Provocouture as I felt I didn’t have many colours like it and I was in love with the purple shimmer shade. My mum also got one of these palettes, her first one, and chose Scandalust which is so beautiful. I may have to borrow it one day!
Of course, a shopping day wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Lush! I picked up my favourite face mask, Cosmetic Warrior and the Love Boat, Madame President, The Big Sleep and Think Pink. I’m very excited to use them all, especially the jelly bath bomb!
I’m so happy with everything I got and have yet to be disappointed with any of the products I’ve tried so far! If you want to see reviews on anything in particular then leave a comment below. Thanks for reading!
