Christmas Decor Haul 2019
Every year I always end up buying a ridiculous amount of new Christmas decorations. I just can’t resist! I love the brightly coloured lights and festive joy each decoration brings. As this year is mine and Jaz’s first Christmas together we went a bit overboard and bought a LOT of new decorations. So, I thought it’d be fun to do a Christmas Decor Haul!
These two outdoor reindeer lights are so so pretty and look really effective in the front garden. I’ve seen them around quite a lot and I’m always jealous so I’m very glad we have our own now.
Outdoor Inflatable Santa
We also have this giant inflatable Santa which never fails to put a little smile on my face whenever I see him!
Outdoor Colourful Lights
Coloured lights are my weakness. Most people seem to opt for the classy, white light look but I’m all for the bright colours! We got these to hang on the fence in the back garden to make it a bit more festive.
Along with the coloured lights, we also got this adorable penguin who sits in the back garden too. The only issue we have is we can’t seem to secure it down enough so it does tend to fall over when it’s windy.
Outdoor Candy Canes
Honestly, we had a nightmare with these candy canes but finally managed to make them work for us! We actually got a set last year but they broke as someone was packing them away. We bought another set this year, first from Argos but they weren’t great, the colours were dull and the cable length was too short. So, we went on a hunt and found yet another set from Robert Dyas which are perfect. We now have 8 candy cane lights for outside which wasn’t our intentions but I’m not mad about it.
Of course, we also had to get a projector. Jaz really wanted to get one that looked like snow was falling on the house. I wasn’t too sure on it to start with but seeing the projector along with all the other decorations outside it really does make a nice impact.
We found this giant nutcracker in TK Maxx and thought he was way too grand to be left in the shop! Since then we’ve been trying to find a matching one to put on the other side of the fireplace but haven’t had any luck. Still, he looks fabulous and has already been a talking point amongst Jaz’s family.
These presents were most definitely an impulse buy. We saw them in B&Q, thought they’d look really pretty next to the tree and ended up at the checkout. It was probably the quickest decision we’d ever made together haha.
Jaz’s dad fell in love with this festive dog decoration so that’s also now by the tree. It’s definitely a cute little addition and really brightens up the room!
For a couple of years, I’ve had a cute festive lantern featuring Santa Claus and swirling gold glitter. So many people have complimented that lantern so Jaz really wanted to get another. We found this cute train lantern on Amazon and immediately bought it. Rather than gold glitter swirling inside it has multi-coloured glitter which I’m a big fan of.
Lastly, we added another piece to my ever-growing Christmas village collection. This one has a train that spins round, colourful lights and plays music. I love seeing these little Christmas village pieces dotted around the house and I’m intent on building that collection every year.
I hope you all enjoyed my Christmas decor haul. Let me know in the comments which decoration is your favourite! While you’re here don’t forget to subscribe to my blog. You can also follow me on Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest too. Thanks for reading!
