I hope you all enjoyed yesterday’s post because today is part 2 of Christmas in Disneyland, Paris!
Wednesday 13th November
On the 13th we started the day exploring the Walt Disney Studios as we hadn’t been over to that side at all. I feel like they really need to invest more over on that side, compared to the main park it can be quite underwhelming and we were only there for a couple of hours.
Our first stop was the Ratatouille ride which is one of my favourites and is one that Jaz had never been on before. The Ratatouille area was decorated for Christmas with little Christmas trees, giant tinsel baubles and a few Christmas market stalls. The Toy Story area also had some huge cartoon-style Christmas lights which I was a big fan of.
The rest of the day was spent over in the main park where we went on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, a fairytale boat ride and the Casey Jr train.
The highlight of the day though was meeting Jack Skellington in his Christmas outfit.
To meet Jack I had to make a special booking through an app called Lineberty. At 11:15am the booking became available and by 11:16am all of the tickets to meet Jack was sold out. So there was a lot of stress and pressure but we did it! Meeting Jack was amazing, he spent a bit of time with everyone, talking to us all and asking where we were from. He asked me if the U.K. was near Halloweentown and I told him I lived closer to Christmastown haha. The pictures I got with Jack are my favourite character pictures from the whole trip.
That night we watched the Disney Illuminations firework show for the last time this trip. No matter how many times I watch Disney Illuminations it will always make me cry, I get so overcome with emotion!
Thursday 14th November
Thursday was sadly our last day. Our train to the airport wasn’t until 6:50pm so luckily we had the entire day to tie up loose ends, go on rides we wanted to do again, meet characters and do any last-minute shopping.
I got to meet Stitch in his Christmas outfit that morning who, by the way, gives the best hugs! Stitch was really funny and adorable the way he interacted with people. At one point he noticed my camera and got really, really, close to it for a picture haha.
After meeting Stitch we went on the creepiest ride of all, It’s a Small World. Both Jaz and I hate this ride as it really is eerie but we couldn’t not go on it haha. We also saw a car stunt show in the Disney Studios which was pretty cool.
Understandably I was really sad to leave the park. Especially as new Christmas shows and events were happening that weekend such as a Princess Fairy Tale Waltz and Mickey’s Magical Christmas Lights. I absolutely loved my time there though and would 100% go back there for the Christmas celebrations. It was incredible, magical and totally unforgettable. I would highly recommend you go during this time of year!
