Autumn Tag: 20 Questions for Autumn Lovers

What’s Blogtober with an autumn-themed tag to get everyone in the cosy, autumn spirit? I found this autumn tag on Seven Roses blog which features 20 questions for autumn lovers that looked fun to answer.

1. Favourite Thing About Autumn?

Um, everything?! This is such a hard question to answer because there’s literally so much to love. From autumn scented candles and rainy days to darker nights and thick blankets. I think really my favourite thing about autumn is the cosy feeling.

2. Spooky Autumn or Cosy Autumn?

Definitely cosy autumn but I love the spooky side of it all too.

3. Haunted house or Halloween party?

Haunted house! Would so much rather hang out with some ghosts who have interesting stories to tell than a bunch of drunk strangers haha.

4. Carve pumpkins or Paint Pumpkins?

Ooooh, I’ve never actually painted a pumpkin before, I always opt for carving them. Carving pumpkins is one of my favourite autumn/Halloween activities.

5. Go Apple Picking or Go on a Hayride?

I think I’ll have to choose apple picking here, even though I’d love to do both. I just think fruit picking of any kind is a fun and cute activity. Plus, I’d 100% use the apples to make some baked goods!

6. Pumpkin Spice Lattes or Mulled Apple Cider?

Oh definitely mulled apple cider, that stuff is delicious! As much as I want to be one of those PSL girls, I hate the taste of coffee so it just won’t work.

7. What did you Dress up for Halloween Last Year?

A bride? It was my wedding day haha, but it wasn’t a spooky, corpse bride style, just a plain, regular bride. I’ll also be dressing up as a bride again this year as we’ll be throwing our delayed wedding party on Halloween. I am definitely looking forward to spending Halloween next year without involving some kind of wedding though haha.

8. Falling Rain or a Crackling Fireplace?

Oh my goodness, both at the same time, please. Couldn’t think of anything better than watching the rain fall from inside while a cosy fire is crackling away!

9. Have you Purchased any Fall Decor Yet?

Of course I have! I started buying autumn decorations in August and I put a couple of them out too, much to my husband’s disappointment.

10. Favourite Photo that you Took Last Fall?

Okay, it was too difficult to choose just one picture because two big things happened last autumn, so I’ve got 4 photos to share.

questions for autumn lovers

First up is this classic picture I can’t resist taking every year of an autumnal outfit/boots in some leaves. I took this just outside of the place where we adopted the kittens.

We adopted the kittens and brought them home on the 18th of October last year which was one of the best days of the whole year!Ā  I’m so glad we adopted all 3 siblings as they’ve just made our lives so much better. The little one in my arms here is Thora.

Of course, I have to include my wedding day too. Obviously, this isn’t a picture I took myself, but it’s one of my favourites from the day.

Lastly, this picture, which I completely forgot about until I went searching, of a tiny baby Loki on a pumpkin. Honestly, looking at this makes me cry because he’s just so damn cute!

11. Favourite Autumn-Themed Movie?

Again, this is a really hard question to answer and the first movie that comes to mind is Harry Potter but I don’t think it counts as an autumn-themed movie haha. In which case, Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Monster House are my go-to’s.

12. Favourite Colour to Wear in Autumn?

Probably burgundy, I seem to have so many more burgundy clothes than I realised. I also like wearing navy blue and dark green too.

13. Favourite Autumn-Themed Book?

I actually have no idea. I can’t think of any autumn-themed books I’ve read. Again, the only one that comes to mind is Harry Potter haha. It’s just so comforting.

14. Best Way to Spend a Rainy Day?

There are so many ways to spend a rainy day! Rainy days are my favourite. I love to start the day with a cosy bath and then get changed into some cosy clothes and fluffy socks. Then I’ll either read or watch one of my favourite autumn shows such as Gilmore Girls (or Harry Potter ?).

15. Favourite Autumn Food?

I tend to have more sweet treats over autumn and winter, it’s inevitable. So I think maybe cinnamon swirls or almond croissants with a hot chocolate really hits the spot. There’s also a chicken pie I like to make which is both yummy and comforting in the colder months.

16. Favourite Autumn Quote?

“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”

“It’s the first day of autumn! A time of hot chocolatey mornings, and toasty marshmallow evenings, and, best of all, leaping into leaves!”

17. Favourite Autumn leaf?

I feel like you can’t beat a maple leaf in autumn, it’s the ultimate autumn leaf.

18. Favourite Autumn activity?

There are so many! I love pumpkin picking and pumpkin carving, going on an autumn walk, visiting either Longleat or Colchester Zoo for an autumn-themed day/night and just generally cosying up.

19. Favourite Autumn Scent?

Definitely cinnamon, you can’t beat it! I also love the smell of rainy days, bonfires and pumpkin spice.

20. Is Your Birthday in Autumn?

Yes! My birthday is November 12th, exactly one week after Bonfire Night, and I’ll be turning 29 this year. My birthday is definitely another reason why I love autumn so much haha.

I hope you all enjoyed my answers to these 20 autumn questions! If you want to do this tag too, or if you have already, let me know so I can read your answers too!

Haha Iā€™m sure drunk strangers would have interesting stories too, but ghosts are definitely more preferable šŸ‘» Thanks! šŸ˜Š
