Glossybox October 2021 Unboxing
The Glossybox October 2021 box had a very special theme just for Halloween! The theme was ‘Magical Masquerade’ and had special, dual design boxes – either ‘The Truth’ or ‘The Secret’. I received the Truth box which had a white coloured masquerade theme on the front and came with a white mask too which I thought added an extra special touch. Despite the different designs, I believe all the products, except one, were all the same.
Here’s everything in the Glossybox 2021 unboxing!
Joséphine Cosmetics – LIP/POWER The Bold Matte Liquid Lipstick
Our sneak peek of the month was this gorgeous red liquid lipstick from Joséphine Cosmetics. I had never heard of the brand before. But, after seeing the sleek packaging and the beautiful colour, I was super excited about it.
Worth £21.80, the bold shade is called ‘Tiphaine’ and features natural ingredients such as olive, coconut and argan oils as well as vitamin E. I’ve worn it once so far and it was definitely long-lasting and high-quality. I think it may be the brightest red lipstick I own too, so it’ll definitely be worn a lot more over the Christmas period!
Eyeko – Spotlight Highlighter Pencil
Next up, was the Eyeko Spotlight Highlighter Pencil. After receiving a few Eyeko products before, I was happy to see another one included. This pretty gold chunky pencil is designed to be used as a brow highlighter but I can see myself using it more to highlight the inner corners of my eyes. Worth £15, this pencil is formulated with jojoba oil and is a great size to travel with so you can freshen up your glow on the go.
Saint Luxe – Setting Spray
I was very pleasantly surprised to see a setting spray included in this month’s box. Especially as I had recently been on the hunt for one!
The Saint Luxe setting spray is worth £18 and claims to be a lightweight mist that ensures your makeup won’t budge. It also retains the moisture in your skin for a glowy finish. Normally, I prefer matte setting sprays as I have oily skin, but I was happy to give this one a go.
Anatomicals – Boob Tube Grab Your Melons Body Lotion
Created exclusive for Glossybox, the Anatomicals watermelon body lotion is designed to hydrate and moisturise your skin. This deluxe mini is worth £1 and while it’s not the most exciting product to receive, it had a good message behind it. As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this lotion not only reminds you to check your breasts but for every full-sized version bought, 40p will be donated to CoppaFeel.
This Works – Stress Check Clean Hands
Lastly, we got This Works antibacterial hand gel. This was definitely the most disappointing product in the box as we’ve received quite a few hand creams/sanitisers this year. It felt like it should’ve been a bonus product rather than part of the 5. The deluxe mini was worth £4 and contains lavender, neroli and chamomile alongside hyaluronic acid to help cleanse and moisturise your hands.
Total Value of Box: £59.80
I really enjoyed the majority of this box and was happy that it was predominately makeup products. All three makeup items I know I’ll be using on a regular basis. And, while both the body and hand lotion were a little disappointing, they won’t be going to waste at all.
