Lush Halloween 2021 Haul

It’s that time of year again! The highly anticipated Lush Halloween 2021 release has been something I’ve been looking forward to for months. After seeing a couple of leaks of the new products I knew this year’s release was going to be great! I usually find most year’s I’m a little disappointed with the release, and while there were some changes I was sad about (um where’s Monster’s Ball?!) overall, this was an amazing release.

Now, when it comes to both the Lush Halloween and Christmas releases, I like to set myself two rules. 1. Don’t buy bubble bars. I don’t use them as often and they almost always go to waste. 2. Don’t double up on products. Because again, I don’t always get around to using them all. For this release, I broke both of those rules. When I was in the store first thing in the morning and saw the display I just couldn’t help myself. I needed it all!

So, here’s everything I got in the Lush Halloween 2021 release:

Bat Art

This was the only product I doubled up on. I couldn’t resist. It was my absolute favourite product last year and I was so excited to get my hands on it again. It turned the bath into an incredible deep purple/blue shade, had a ton of glitter in it and smelled incredible. I know a lot of people complain it stains the bathtub but I haven’t had this issue and with strong products like this I always clean the bath out right away anyway.

When I saw this I thought it was so cute. And then I smelled it and fell even more in love and my no bubble bar rule was officially broken. It has a really refreshing, citrusy scent to it which I’m obsessed with. And turns your bath into a neon green. I’m very excited to use this bar and hopefully, it’ll be one that won’t actually go to waste!

Lord of Misrule

So, it doesn’t really feel like autumn/Halloween without picking up the classic Lord of Misrule bath bomb. But, I hate the new redesign. I have no idea why they’ve done it, other than to cause controversy. And I have no clue what the new design is even meant to be. The colour inside has also changed. Instead of turning your bath a deep red, it’ll turn a blue/green shade. I am really sad they’ve changed such a huge fan favourite and really hope they bring the original back next year.

This bath bomb looks so cute! I think it was actually the first one I picked up. New for 2021 it was definitely the product I was anticipating the most. It’s quite a chunky bath bomb with a fruity scent and I believe it turns your bath into a big swirl of pinks and blues. It also has popping candy in which is always a fun surprise. I feel like I should’ve doubled up on this one too.

Ghost in the Dark

I was so happy to see this little guy come back! The ghost in the dark soap is definitely one of my all-time favourite Lush soaps. Not only does it smell amazing, makes my hands feel super moisturised and looks cute…but it also glows in the dark! There will never be a time where I won’t find that a really cool feature – especially during spooky season. It genuinely does glow a very bright, fluorescent green too.

Punkin Pumpkin

How could it be a Halloween haul without a pumpkin bath bomb? This has been one of my favourite Halloween products the last couple of years and I always make sure to save it for Halloween. Unsurprisingly it turns your bath bright orange and gives off a strong pumpkin/cinnamon scent which is just so warm and comforting. I absolutely love it and will always recommend it.

The other bubble bar I picked up was, of course, Screamo. I mean, who could resist that face? This was another product where at first I thought it looked cute and then I smelled it and it went straight in the basket. It smells so strongly of almonds/a bakewell tart making me just want to eat it instead. It also produces very dark purple bubbles and I’m excited to try it out. There are a few bad reviews as it seems it’s another that stains the bath and hands and it apparently falls off the stick after the first use. But, neither of these things ever really bother me.

Pumpkin Spice Soap

I believe this was a new soap for this year. I definitely hadn’t seen it before anyway. But it screams autumn to me and it smells absolutely amazing. Just like pumpkin spice believe it or not haha. I love using this first thing in the morning, filling my bathroom with its glorious, autumnal scent and making my hands smell all pumpkin-y too.

Lush Halloween 2021

Lord of Misrule Shower Gel

Yessss! At least this Lord of Misrule product was kept the same! It was excellent timing too as I’ve just finished off my Rose Jam shower gel. This product is a staple in any Lush Halloween haul and I can’t wait to use it again and step out of the shower feeling like a Halloween queen!

Lord of Misrule Perfume

Call me a fake fan but I had no idea this had been available for months! I only saw it in the store on the same day as the Halloween release and got so excited about it! Normally, I use their body sprays and haven’t actually tried a perfume before. It’s really strongly scented so you only need to use a small amount meaning it should last a long time. But, it had that spicy, sweet, autumnal scent we all know and love about Lord of Misrule so you can bet I’ll be wearing this all throughout October.

Lush Halloween 2021

That’s everything I got in my Lush Halloween 2021 haul! Let me know in the comments if you’ve picked up any of these products or which one you’re most excited to try. Lush plays such a big part in my love for this time of year and I’m so happy to finally have all of these spooky bathtime treats again. Of course, now I can’t wait to get my hands on the Christmas products too!

I hope you all enjoyed this post! If you did, then don’t forget to subscribe to Beauty and the Bookshelves. You can also follow me on Instagram, Twitter and TikTok too. Thanks for reading!
