I don’t know about you but during autumn I am a lot more creative with my eyeshadow, and overall makeup. I love a bold, dramatic look and autumn/Halloween is the perfect time to really go wild! There are a few palettes I always reach for as the leaves start to change colour and the weather starts getting chillier so I thought I’d share with you all my go-to autumn eyeshadow palettes! There’s also a couple of new palettes I bought earlier this year because I thought they’d be perfect to play with this season.
The Saharan II Palette – Juvia’s Place
The formula of the Juvia’s Place palettes are my favourite, I really need to own more of these. Anyway, the colours of the Saharan II are perfect for autumn! Deep berry shades, dark orange, brown and a bright, vibrant blue to make a look really pop. I bought this palette earlier this year so I’m really excited to play around with it more this autumn.
The Starlet Palette – Marc Jacobs
This Marc Jacobs eyeshadow palette is my everyday palette for autumn. The colours are so pretty, especially the orange/copper shade, and they’re so quick and easy to apply. It’s always the palette I reach for first when there’s a slight chill in the air and autumn starts to settle in.
Naked Heat – Urban Decay
I’ll be honest this isn’t a palette I reach for often but I love the colours and think it’s perfect for autumn. Typically I’ll use this palette if I’m going on a night out. My favourite shade is ‘Scorched’, it’s so pretty and looks incredible on the lid!
Naked Smoky – Urban Decay
Again this is one I’ll reach for if I’m going on a night out, usually for my birthday or Halloween. I love the formula of Urban Decay eyeshadows, they’re really easy to blend and always look great! Dark, dramatic, smoky eye makeup is always more prominent around autumn and this palette is ideal for those kinds of looks.
Born to Run – Urban Decay
This is another palette I bought earlier this year thinking they’d be fantastic autumn colours. I really love this palette, it makes me feel so creative with the wide variety of colours and I’ll definitely be using it more this autumn. You can get so many looks out of it and it would work really well for Halloween makeup too!
Subculture – Anastasia Beverly Hills
Subculture holds a special place in my heart. It has been my all time favourite palette since it was released. I love every single shade and use it a lot during autumn! My favourite combination is ‘Roxy’ as the transition, ‘Fudge’ on the outer corner, ‘Destiny’ toward the centre of the lid and then ‘Electric’ on the centre and inner corners. I know this palette is still a controversial one but it’s perfect for autumn and I absolutely adore it!
