The Harry Potter Tag

When I came across the Harry Potter Tag on Jenniely’s blog I was so excited! I had no idea such a tag existed but knew immediately that I had to take part. Harry Potter is one of my biggest obsessions. And, fun fact, I’m actually booked in to get a Harry Potter related tattoo in the new year which I’m very much looking forward to. If any of you reading this are also a huge Harry Potter fan, then I’m sure you’ll have a lot of fun taking part in this tag too.

1. What House Are You In?

I’m a proud Slytherin! I’ve always resonated with Slytherin house, the first time I watched the movie when I was 10-years-old I knew Slytherin was where I wanted to be. It just seemed so much more fun than Gryffindor, or any other house, with many interesting characters. Ambitious, cunning, resourceful, I loved the sound of all of those traits – plus I find I’m usually drawn to the darker side of things. When the Pottermore quiz came around it was no surprise that I was sorted into Slytherin.

2. What Is Your Patronus?

My Patronus is a Siberian Cat and, as I’m a big cat person, I was pretty happy with that. Apparently, Siberian cats are fearless yet easygoing. While that doesn’t sound like me, it definitely sounds like something I could use haha.

3. What Is Your Wand?

My wand is “Redwood wood with a unicorn hair core, 9 ¾” and rigid flexibility”. Personally, I think this wand looks great and really wish I could actually buy it from somewhere.

4. What Would Your Boggart Be?

Oh my boggart could be lots of things, driving, death, being cheated on, having to socialise, they’ll have plenty to choose from!

5. What Position Would You Play in Quidditch?

I’d love to be a Beater, I think it would be so therapeutic to just whack a bludger and Fred and George always look like they have the most fun.

6. Would You be Pure-Blood, Half-Blood, or Muggle-Born?

Growing up my dad always said he was a wizard and would play tricks on us like magically moving a rug, genuinely had no idea how he did this until a few years ago when he said he just tied some string to the corners and moved it. He also had a bunch of spell and spiritual history books lying around. So, I think I’d either be a pure-blood or a least a half-blood wizard.

7. What Job Would You Want After Graduating Hogwarts?

I’d love to do something with magical creatures or dragons, that would be a very cool job to have! Or, I’d be a Hogwarts professor so I’d never have to leave the castle.

8. Which of the Deathly Hallows Would You Choose?

Definitely the Elder Wand! Who wouldn’t want the most powerful wand ever made?! I still can’t believe Harry just gave it up.

9. Favourite Book and Least Favourite Book?

I think my favourite book would be the Goblet of Fire and my least favourite is Chamber of Secrets.

10. Favourite Film?

This will sound really boring I know, but, my favourite film has to be the first one. It reminds me of how and why I fell in love with the series in the first place. And, it just feels like home.

11. Least Favourite Film?

This is hard because I love them all. I genuinely don’t think I have a least favourite film. I guess the one that I watch the least is The Prisoner of Azkaban but I still love it!

12. Favourite Character?

Another difficult question, but Luna really springs to mind as well as Hermione, Gilderoy Lockhart, Draco and Dobby.

13. Least Favourite/Most Hated Character?

Professor Snape…yes, I dislike him more than Umbridge. At least with Umbridge, you knew she was bad, Snape was just all over the place with it and ended up just being an even bigger asshole in my opinion.

14. Favourite Teacher at Hogwarts?

Professor McGonagall! She’s an amazing teacher and person and it still baffles me why she was never headteacher. I also love Professor Lupin and, again, Gilderoy Lockhart. I know Lockhart is useless but he’s so entertaining and makes me laugh every time I watch Chamber of Secrets.

15. Least Favourite Teacher at Hogwarts?

Snape, Snape, Snape. He was a bully for no good reason, a very unfair and even lazy teacher and I know I would’ve just hated his classes.

16. Do you Have any Unpopular Opinions About the Series?

I really don’t think I do. I wish the movies could’ve been longer to fit in more scenes from the books, but I’m pretty sure every Harry Potter fan feels that way.

I hope you all enjoyed my answers to the Harry Potter tag! Let me know in the comments if you agree/disagree with any of them.

I hated Snape, too! Lol – there’s no real excuse for all of his behavior and he’s just crap – no one can convince me otherwise XD

Exactly! Like I get he’s very bitter but what’s that got to do with how he treats Neville?! 😂 He was such a terrible teacher haha
