Autumn lipsticks are, without a doubt, my favourite and I wait so patiently all year long for the time when I can bring them back out again. I love the dark, vampy and bold colours, when I put them on I get a real buzz of excitement and happiness. So today I thought I’d share with you all my top 10 autumn lipsticks, so you can see which are my personal favourites and maybe find some inspiration for new lipsticks!
The first lipstick I love for this time of year is Mary, a metallic burgundy with pink and purple undertones. It’s a classic autumnal colour, but the shimmery/metallic finish makes it that little extra something special.
This may not be your typical autumnal shade and something you’d most likely associate with summer, but throughout October this is my go to colour as it reminds me of pumpkins. It’s a bright orange and paired with dark eye makeup it looks very spooky and perfect for Halloween.
I am obsessed with this colour! During autumn this becomes my new nude. It’s a mid grey with slightly blue undertones, a really unique colour and one that definitely turns heads.
Oh Charlotte Tilbuy. It’s no secret to anyone that CT are my absolute favourite brand and have been for years. There is nothing quite like the rich, creamy formula and intense pigment as these. They are, in my opinion, perfection. The shade Hel’s Bell’s is a cool, berry tone, inspired by Helena Bonham-Carter. It’s such a beautiful colour and ideal for this season.
This colour is a cult favourite and I completely understand why. It’s described as ‘chestnut rose’ and is very pretty and easy to wear. I find it dries down slightly darker which doesn’t bother me at all, especially for autumn and I feel it’s a really nice, everyday colour for the season.
Annoyingly the only way you can get this lipstick is within the Film Noir Nights gift set, (a good thing to put on your Christmas lists) but I needed this colour. It is beautiful. It’s a deep, berry red and looks so glamorous and classy, perfect for this time of year.
7.) Kat Von D: L.U.V
Autumn is all about purple lipsticks, most people, myself included, go for the darker purples but bright, vibrant purples work just as well. This looks great with minimal eye makeup as just a pop of autumnal colour and is a really pretty, bold lipstick.
These lipsticks are so pigmented! Matterialistic is a gorgeous, warm toned, copper colour. I know metallic lipsticks aren’t for everyone but I love them and I get so many compliments when wearing this shade. It’s very pretty and reminds me of autumn leaves.
This colour is just everything! I love it so, so much. It’s a very deep burgundy, almost black, and a must have shade for autumn. It’s very versatile and works well for a dramatic, sophisticated evening look or for everyday with minimal eye makeup.
Saving the best for last, my ultimate go to autumn shade, Glastonberry. This was the very first lipstick, and product, that I bought from Charlotte Tilbury all those years ago, and what made me fall in love with the brand. To this day it is still my all time favourite lipstick, none other can compare. It’s a dark purple and so beautiful. When autumn finally comes around this is the lipstick I wear first. I truly love this lipstick and will re-purchase it again and again.I hope you enjoyed this post! Autumn lipsticks are definitely the best kind and I love them all.
