Last week I saw that The Cozy Den Blog had posted a Harry Potter tag and immediately I knew I had to do it too! Like most people I love Harry Potter and grew up with both the books and the movies. In my opinion there is no better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon curled up watching Harry Potter. Last year I went to the Warner Bro’s Studio Tour in London and it was amazing! I really want to go back, especially since they’ve added the Forbidden Forrest section.
This tag was originally created by Danielle from The Introverted Book Nerd. If you’re a huge lover of books then I really suggest you give her a follow!
1.) What House Are You In?
I am a Slytherin, which is something I always knew deep down and has been confirmed by Pottermore. When all the kids in the playground were running around acting like brave Gryffindor’s, I was alone pretending to be Draco’s long lost twin sister and concocting evil potions. According to Pottermore the Slytherin traits are cunning, ambitious, resourceful, shrewd and determined. I’m proud to be a Slytherin, despite the dirty looks I got from the Warner Bros Studio Tour staff for wearing my Slytherin hoodie (all jokingly of course) and the disapproval from my boyfriend’s dad who claims to be a Gryffindor.
2.) What Is Your Patronus?
Apparently my Patronus is a Siberian Cat. I’m pretty happy with that as I am a huge cat lover. After a bit of research I found this excerpt from MuggleNet that explains the Siberian Cat Patronus – Siberian cats are perfect as Patronuses. Fearless yet easygoing, they seem to always know when their humans need them for support or comfort. They can be quiet, with soft melodic purrs and chirps. While these may not be the cats to chase down a Dementor, they will stay with you, protecting and calming you until the Dementor fades away.
3.) What Is Your Wand?
My wand is a Redwood wood with a Unicorn hair core 9 ¾” and Rigid flexibility. While I don’t 100% understand what it all means I like that it’s a fairly short wand with Unicorn hair, it’s sound pretty magical.
I also really like the look of it but unfortunately they do not sell wands catered to you in the Warner Bro’s Studio, so instead I own Hermione Granger’s wand.
4.) What Would Your Boggart Be?
This is a tough one as there’s a lot of things I’m scared of! I think it would either be a dentist, my school bully or my boyfriend cheating on me, although I’m not sure if the Boggart will be able to depict that one.
5.) What Position Would You Play In Quidditch?
I’ve never really been a fan of sports and I didn’t join any teams in school so I don’t think I’d be on the Quidditch team at all. I’m happy to be a spectator or keep score like Lee Jordan.
6.) Would You Be A Pure Blood, Half-Blood Or Muggle Born?
I’d be a Half-Blood. When I was a child my dad always claimed he was a powerful wizard, he used to make objects in the house move on their own and I could never figure out how!
7.) What Job Would You Have After Graduating Hogwarts?
I think I’d like to be a Professor at Hogwarts, teaching either Care of Magical Creatures, History of Magic or Potions. Although I also wouldn’t mind being a journalist/reporter for the Daily Prophet.
8.) Which Of The Deathly Hallows Would You Choose?
I’d love to own the Elder Wand. It may be the most dangerous item to own but honestly who wouldn’t want to experience the most powerful wand ever made?
9.) Favourite Book?
The Prisoner Of Azakaban was always my favourite.
10.) Least Favourite Book?
Probably the first one just because it took me a while to get into it, before any real action started.
11.) Favourite Film?
Prisoner of Azkaban again, I also love Goblet of Fire, both parts of the Deathly Hallows and the first one….Oh I just love them all!
12.) Least Favourite Film?
As I just said, I love them all. I don’t think I have a least favourite. Maybe Chamber of Secrets just because it’s one that didn’t stand out much to me and it’s not one I would randomly choose to watch.
13.) Favourite Character?
Draco Malfoy. I always loved Draco and thought he was misunderstood. He was raised by evil people who expected him to be just as bad but deep down he wasn’t. I also adore Ron, Hermione, Luna and Neville.
14.) Leave Favourite Character?
I mean Umbridge is the obvious answer here but I also really disliked Reeta Skeeta and the Dursley’s were infuriating!
15.) Favourite Teacher At Hogwarts?
MINERVA MCGONAGALL! I would’ve loved to have been taught by her. McGonagall was incredible, brave, fair and deserved to be headmistress long before Dumbledore died.
16.) Least Favourite Teacher At Hogwarts?
Again Umbridge is the obvious answer but I really didn’t rate Snape as a teacher. He was a bit of a bully, uninspiring and always in a bad mood which was often taken out on his students. If I had him as a teacher I would’ve been terrified to go to class! I understand he had his reasons but honestly he needed to get that chip of his shoulder.
17.) If You Could’ve Played One Character From The Movies Who Would It Have Been?
Definitely Luna Lovegood. She was such a fun, interesting and quirky character, I imagine she would’ve been a lot of fun to play.
18.) Do You Have Any Unpopular Opinions About The Series?
Don’t hate me for this but I just really did not like Snape! I didn’t feel pity for him at all. He was grown man who was still hung up on his childhood sweetheart resulting in him being bitter and mean to everyone. He acted as if he was the only person in the world who had his heart broken and was bullied! I understand what he went through was painful and traumatic but surely he’d at least try to move on, anyone else would. Even when it was revealed that he was supposedly protecting Harry Potter the entire time it didn’t excuse any of the cruel things he had done. I mean how was bullying Neville helping Harry in the long run?! I’m sorry but Snape was not a good guy.
19.) If You Could Save One Character From The Final Battle Who Would It Be?
I hope you enjoyed this post! I’m not going to tag anyone but if you’re a Harry Potter fan then feel free to take part. If you’ve already done this tag then please let me know in the comments, I’d love to read your posts.
