I’m back with another tag! I’ve been really loving reading the 100 truths tag and finding out things I didn’t know about the bloggers I follow so now I’m doing one of my own. The thought of answering 100 questions is pretty daunting and my answers will probably be very dull but hey ho, it looked like fun.
So here we go…
What’s your name?
Any nicknames or aliases?
Hols, Holibobs, both of which I don’t really like that much.
Your star sign?
How old are you?
Quater of a century!
Your relationship status?
In a relationship.
Yes, a cat named Gaston.
Any tattoos or piercings?
Neither. I used to have my ears pierced but ended up in A+E because one ripped through my ear and now I have a scar from it. Haven’t had anything pierced since after that trauma.
What do you like about yourself?
My eye colour.
What do you dislike about yourself?
Everything except my eye colour.
Righty or lefty?
The last thing you drank?
The last thing you ate?
Golden Nuggets…best cereal ever!
Your last phone call?
Your last text message?
Your last email?
My last email was from Goodreads, the last one I sent was a GIF to my work email.
The last song you listened to?
Oh I don’t remember, I don’t listen to music much. Probably something from The Greatest Showman.
The last book you read?
Rules of Attraction by Simone Elkeles.
The last time you cried?
A few weeks ago, I was getting a bit overwhelmed as my boyfriend was making a million plans he wanted us to do this year, like go on holiday, buy a house, stay at The Ritz for a night and so much more that was just too much for me to think about and plan, so I gave up and cried and now we’re just taking things one step at a time,
The last blog you read?
The last person you spoke to?
The last place you visited?
Work I guess.
Your last holiday abroad?
Vienna in December 2016. It was amazing!
Have you ever?
Have you ever got back with an ex?
Have you ever been cheated on?
Yes, in every relationship I’ve ever been in. Clearly, there’s something wrong with me.
Have you ever cheated on someone?
Have you ever lost someone special to you?
I’ve been lucky in that no one close to me has died. I lost a grandad when I was too young to understand what was happening and I lost my cat of 17 years at the start of 2017 which was devastating. My boss also suddenly died last April, which no one was expecting as he was so fit and healthy but died of a heart attack while in the gym showers, and that hit me harder than I thought, just thinking about it makes me feel odd. But I haven’t lost one really special person to me thankfully.
Have you ever been so drunk you’ve thrown up?
On multiple occasions.
Have you ever fallen out of love with someone?
No, not really.
Have you ever met someone who changed you?
Well, I guess everyone I’ve met has had an impact on me in one way or another.
Have you ever been in a situation where you found out who your real friends are?
I didn’t have any friends until college and then we all grew apart when we left for different universities. I didn’t make any friends while a university so no, I have not been this kind of situation. I’m too shy, socially awkward and introverted to even have friends.
Have you ever kissed someone you probably shouldn’t have?
Have you ever found out people were talking about you behind your back?
Of course! Who hasn’t?!
Have you ever broken someone’s heart?
I have not.
Have you ever kissed a stranger?
Have you ever had your own heart broken?
Unfortunately yes, a few times.
Have you ever had sex on a first date?
Have you ever been arrested?
I’ve had stupid teenage encounters with the police but never been arrested.
Have you ever been attracted to someone that isn’t the gender you usually find attractive?
No, I don’t think so. There are some female celebrities where I’m like ‘she’s so pretty! and I say I have a girl crush but I’m not actually physically attracted to them.
Have you ever had a threesome?
Ew no! I don’t understand the appeal of that whatsoever.
Have you ever embarrassed yourself in public?
Oh many times! I get embarrassed by the smallest things.
Have you ever misjudged someone?
I probably have but no one specific comes to mind.
Your beliefs and opinions:
Do you believe in god?
That’s a tricky question. I’ve never been Christened but I have always believed in something, whether it’s God or not I definitely believe there is some greater being. When times are tough I do find myself praying to God for help and I like to think there is a heaven. I’ve been to church and go to midnight mass and like the services but I’m not overly religious. I like to think there is something out there guiding and helping people but obviously, there’s a lot of flaws and reasons for not believing.
Do you believe in yourself?
Again a tricky question. Sometimes I do and sometimes I have doubts. I’m not confident in myself and usually need a push or a pep talk from my boyfriend to help me.
Do you believe in Santa Clause?
Do you believe in ghosts?
I think so. I swear I saw one when I was in my early teens in the middle of the night.
Do you believe in aliens?
I struggle with this one. I know logically we cannot be the only living beings in the universe but I don’t know.
Do you believe in miracles?
Do you believe in the power of positive thinking?
Definitely! Thinking negatively is only going to get you down.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Not at all. Love is something that grows over time once you actually get to know someone.
Can money make you happy?
Well, it makes me happy! I know a lot of people say money doesn’t buy happiness which can be true but it certainly helps. Life would be so much easier if I were rich.
Would you describe yourself as a feminist?
I believe men and women should be seen as equals and women should have the right to choose what happens to them and their bodies but I do believe feminism can go a bit overboard sometimes.
Are you pro-life or pro-choice?
Do you have strong political beliefs?
I have my opinions and think it’s very important for everyone who is eligible to vote does. When a general election comes around I get very into it and do a lot of research into who I vote for. But I don’t tend to voice my opinions and it really irritates me when certain influencers and celebrities strongly push their opinions onto others, swaying their votes. I unfollowed and lost a lot of respect for many influencers/celebrities over the last election because of how much they were telling people how to vote.
Do you have strong religious beliefs?
Not really no.
What do you think the most important thing you can give a child is?
Love and unconditional support.
Are you eating anything right now?
It’s currently Good Friday as I’m writing this so I’m thinking about having an easter egg I bought myself.
Are you drinking anything right now?
What are you listening to?
Some kid kicking a ball against a wall outside.
What are you thinking about right now?
That after I’ve finished this post I need to create two eye makeup looks for a review post, tidy the house and do some Easter baking.
What are you waiting for right now?
My DisneyxCathKidston bag to arrive!
What are you most excited for right now?
The chocolate I’ll be eating soon and my trip to Disneyland Paris in 55 days!
What’s your pet hate right now?
Hmm I’m not sure I have one.
If you weren’t answering these question what would you be doing right now?
Taking pictures of swatches and creating those eye makeup looks.
Your first best friend?
A girl called Hannah in primary school. Apparently the very first day we hit it off and both our parents and the teachers thought it was adorable and funny how well we got on with each other. We used to get mistaken for sisters a lot.
Your first celebrity crush?
The first crush I remember was on Ash from Pokemon, embarrassingly.
Your first holiday?
Ireland and I loved it. I saw my very first dolphin on that trip which has always been my favourite animal and I was so so happy.
Your first pet?
A cat called Bubbles, she was adorable and I was obsessed but she only lived for a few weeks which was heartbreaking.
Your first regret?
I’m not sure. I can’t remember anything I regretted as a kid. I wish I had gone to a different secondary school but that was down to location and my parent’s choice.
Your first job?
I’d really rather not say. It’s way too embarrassing and something I try to block out.
Your first childhood memory?
I remember I had this really cute lilac coat that I loved when I was 3/4 years old. I was just putting my coat on and felt something odd in the sleeve, almost tickling my arm, I freaked out and shook the coat off and a spider fell out. Actual stuff of nightmares!
Which would you choose?
Love or money?
Obviously the right answer here is love but I think my boyfriend would understand if I chose money.
Twitter or facebook?
Hook up or relationship?
Dogs or cats?
Coffee or tea?
Neither, hot chocolate.
Beer or wine?
Sweet or savoury?
Introvert or extrovert?
Vampires or werewolves?
Seaside or countryside?
Summer or winter?
Books or movies?
Horror or comedy?
Do you wish you could change your past?
Certain aspects of it, like where I went to secondary school and what I studied at college and uni.
What’s your dream job?
Honestly, I’m pretty happy with my job. I’m a social media executive which is what I’ve wanted to get into for the last couple years. In the future, I think I’d like to move into more of a copy editor role but I’m pretty content right now. Saying that I wouldn’t mind having one of those jobs where you’re rich and famous for doing nothing but I can never find those advertised on Indeed.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Made in Chelsea (it’s secretly my favourite show), the Eurovision (it’s almost here!) and chocolate!
What are you afraid of?
Being cheated on ironically. Also spiders, the dentist, failure and any kind of social situation.
What was the first thing you wanted to be when you grew up?
A singer but I got bullied out of it by the kids at school so I settled on becoming a famous actress instead.
If you could have any superpower what would it be?
I’m pretty nosey so I’d love to be able to read minds and find out what my boyfriend really thinks.
If you could change one thing about your life what would it be?
I’d be a billionaire.
Would you want immortality?
Yes, I want to see everything in the world and experience all the future historical events. I’d never want to die, I don’t think I could ever be ready for that.
If you could interview anyone alive or dead who would it be?
I’ve no idea. I’d like to discover more about my family history and where we came from. We’re all white with blonde hair and blue/green eyes so I’m convinced we must have some Scandinavian ancestry somewhere down the line. So I’d like to speak to ancient generations of my family and just learn more.
Would you say you’re happy?
Yes, right now I’m content and happy with where things are progressing.
One piece of advice you’d give yourself at eighteen?
Choose something more useful than drama and creative writing at uni!
Where would you like to be in 5 years time?
In 5 years I will be 30, so I’d like to think I’d be married, in a house of my own and maybe with a child by then.
Well done if you got this far! Hopefully you now all know me a little better. If you want to take part and answer these 100 questions then please feel free and link your blog down in the comments so I can be nosey and read them all!
