A Month in Pictures: July 2019
It’s the last day of July 2019 which means it’s time for another month in pictures!
The Rum Kitchen
This month Jaz and I tried out a resturant neither of us had been to before in London called The Rum Kitchen. Located in Kingly Court in Carnaby which is a beautiful and unique 3 storey food and drink destination. The whole area was amazing and there were so many restaurants we wanted to try so we’ll 100% be going back again! The Rum was a really fun place with a great atmosphere, great food and incredible cocktails. I’d definitely recommend it.
Finishing Touches Meeting
Last October Jaz and I bought our very first home…kind of. We bought a plot on a new build development and have been patiently waiting for the house to be ready. This month we had our finishing touches meeting where we were able to choose our carpeting, tiling and any added extras.
This month my aunt and uncle celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a big BBQ. After having not seen them or my cousins in quite a few years due to a falling out between my gran and uncle it was nice to catch up and start to build bridges. My uncle also made a big bowl of ‘punch’ which involved 2 litres of vodka, 3/4 bottles of peach schnapps and God knows whatever else which helped take away any awkwardness haha.
The Book of Mormon
Jaz and I saw The Book of Mormon for the first time this month with a couple of his friends. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to think when I left the theatre. It was unlike anything I’d ever seen before! It was very funny and extremely rude if you’re easily offended it’s probably not the show for you. I didn’t come out thinking ‘wow that was incredible’ more like ‘what on earth did I just watch?!’ haha. However, it was a great show and the cast was absolutely brilliant. I definitely would want to go back and watch it again one day.
Booked a Trip to Venice
Lastly, my mother booked a trip to Venice for my sister’s 21st birthday next February! We’re all very excited as Italy is somewhere me and my sister have been wanting to go to for a very long time. My mother went earlier this year and had the most amazing time so she’s also thrilled to be going back. It’s also been about 5 years since the three of us had a holiday together so it’ll be really fun to have a girly trip away.
July 2019 was definitely a month of firsts and trying new things!
