A Month in Pictures: June 2019

June 30, 2019
Blog post

It seems crazy to me how quick these posts come along but here we are with my June 2019 month in pictures! June was a really fun, relaxed month filled with cocktails, surprises and games.

Love Island

Yes, I am including Love Island in my month in pictures post because this show has taken over my life! I look forward to tuning in every night at 9pm and I live for the drama! Amber has been my favourite since the start. I love how sassy she is and that she came in knowing exactly what she wanted. She’s the only one who hasn’t annoyed me or who I felt was a bully and she always tells it like it is. I adore Michael and Curtis, I think they’re really good people and Anton has been growing on me. Let me know in the comments if you watch Love Island and who you like and dislike so far!

Started reading a Court of Thorns and Roses

I finally started reading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Mass. Normally I have several books on the go and swap and change them every night. With this series, however, I haven’t felt the urge to take a break and read something else. I’ve been really loving it and I’m currently halfway through the first book. It can be a little confusing with the strange names for the main characters plus the faerie species, but I am very intrigued and struggle to put it down at night.

Cocktail Night

No month would be complete without a cocktail night! Jaz and I went to a place called Kazbar which serve incredible cocktails and delicious Morrocan food. My love/obsession with halloumi fries all started at Kazbar. Jaz and I drank a LOT and then proceeded to make the drunken decision of getting a ton of Indian food.

Bowling

Me, my mum, sister and Jaz spent a Sunday afternoon bowling which was a lot of fun. Obviously, I came dead last in the first game but the second game I did a little better. My sister surprised us all as she won the second game, despite accidentally throwing her bowl into the lane next to us, resulting in them losing a go. Thankfully the people in that lane found it funny but my sister was highly embarrassed haha.

Surprise gift from our wedding photographer

One day in June I came home to a surprise gift from our wedding photographer! It was a thank you gift for officially booking her and I thought it was a such a kind gesture and a nice touch. In the package, she included a thank you card which included a ‘what’s next’ section where she explained she’ll be in touch soon to arrange our engagement shoot, a resturant voucher for £30 and a Haynes Explains Marriage book. This little gift really made my day. When we had our first meeting I thought she was such a lovely person and I’m so so happy she’ll be the one documenting the big day!

The Sims Island Living

This month the Sims Island Living was released and I was so excited! It’s just as amazing as I hoped it would be and I’ve been having so much fun playing as a mermaid and becoming friends with dolphins. If you read my May month in pictures you may remember I mentioned that I had started live streaming on Twitch. So, of course, I have been streaming the Island Living game. If you’re interested in watching me play the sims make sure you give me a follow over there!

Celebrating Halfway to Christmas!

If you didn’t catch my post earlier this week, I spent the 25th of June celebrating the fact that it was halfway to Christmas! This has become a tradition of mine over the last few years which I always have so much fun doing. I watched 3 Christmas movies, started my Christmas playlist, had hot chocolate and generally just a very merry time!

Halfway to Christmas

I hope you all enjoyed my June 2019 Month in Pictures post! Let me know what you got up to in the month of June. Oh I’m so happy you are loving ACOTAR so far!! It’s such an intriguing and addicting story!! I’m glad you’re able to enjoy it. 🙂
That’s too funny about your sister throwing her bowling ball into the adjacent lane! I would be embarrassed too, lol. But hey at least she won!! 😉
