Autumn 2020 Bucket List
My Autumn 2020 Bucket List ?
Autumn is just 11 days away and if you know me you’ll know just how excited I am for it. Autumn has always been my favourite season. If I could live in a world where it was autumn all year round I definitely would! Of course, this year it’s going to be pretty different with COVID stopping us from doing so many things. But, I’ll still be doing my best to make the most of the season. Here are the top things on my autumn 2020 bucket list:
Getting married is the biggest thing I hope to tick off my autumn bucket list this year. Unless COVID stops it. If all goes to plan we should be getting married on Halloween and then jetting off to Mauritius shortly after. Right now we can only have 30 people at the wedding, and that includes the 2 registrars and photographer so balancing the numbers is very tricky. I still have hope that the number can increase a little, but it’s not looking very likely. Still, we’ve been waiting for this day for so long and I know that the people who are there will help us to make the day a great one.
Buy some autumn decor
As you may know, we recently moved into a brand new home, so obviously I want to go out and buy all the new autumn decor! We should be getting a fireplace installed soon in the living room so I’d love to buy some garland and pumpkins to decorate it with. I’ve already bought an autumn wreath to hang on the front door and I’m so excited for it to arrive. I imagine I’ll be buying a lot more autumn and even Christmas decor over the next few months.
Decorate the new house for autumn/Halloween
I’ve slowly started doing this with the autumnal decorations I’ve managed to find while unpacking. I really want to go all out this year with the decorations. I can’t wait to make the house all cosy and spooky!
Bake some autumn/Halloween treats
I rarely bake anymore but with a new kitchen, I suddenly have the urge to make some brownies or some spooky cookies.
Visit a pumpkin patch
We visited a pumpkin patch for the first time last year and it was so much fun. From what I’ve seen pumpkin patches are still opening up this year so hopefully we’ll be able to go again and pick out the perfect pumpkins!
Plant my own pumpkins
This is something I’ve wanted to do for ages. I’d love to have my own little pumpkin patch in the back garden. I’m not sure if it’s something that will be possible to do this year as we need still need to lay grass down and get a Gardner in to help us design it. But, it’s definitely something I’m planning on doing at some point!
Carve a pumpkin
My favourite autumn/Halloween tradition, carving pumpkins. Even though we’ll be a little busy on Halloween this year, I still want to carve pumpkins and have them around the house. It’s such a fun activity and really gets me in the Halloween spirit.
Watch Halloween movies
I can’t wait to get all cosy in the living room, with the fireplace going, snacks in hand and watching some of my favourite autumn and Halloween movies. The Nightmare Before Christmas, Harry Potter, Monster House, Beetlejuice and so many more. This season is definitely the best season for movies!
Buy the autumn/Halloween Lush bath bombs
I get so excited every year for Lush’s Halloween release! I’ve got my eye on several things already which I’m hoping to get this weekend. The second it starts getting cooler my obsession for Lush and baths reignites haha.
Go for a drive down a country lane
On those autumn days where it’s sunny but still chilly, I always like going for a drive down a country lane and seeing all the pretty autumn leaves with the sun shining through them.
Create some fun autumn/Halloween makeup looks
Around this time of year people starting posting pictures on Instagram of their autumn makeup and I always get so inspired by them. Dark, gothic and sultry autumn makeup has always been my favourite style and I can’t wait to break out the autumn eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks again to create some cool looks. I love seeing all of the Halloween makeup looks too, it’s always the time where I’m at my most creative with makeup.
Walk around London
Last year we spent a day just wondering around London in autumn and it was amazing. We got some really pretty, autumnal pictures in Hyde Park and Chelsea and it was a lot of fun. I’d love to do that again this year, now I’m a little bit more familiar with London too.
That’s everything on my autumn 2020 bucket list. There are loads of other things I’d love to be able to do, like visit Colchester Zoo’s Fright Night again and going to Longleat for their Halloween event too but I’ve no idea if things like that can go ahead this year.
