Celebrating Halfway to Christmas!

June 25, 2019
Blog post

It’s become a beloved tradition of mine to take the 25th of June off work so I can spend the day celebrating the fact that it is now halfway to Christmas. Yes, I really do love Christmas that much. The majority of people don’t understand and look at me very strangely when I tell them while other’s wish they could join me haha.

I always look forward to the 25th of June. For me, it’s the day where Christmas really begins. From this point onwards I’ll be planning, making gift lists, setting budgets, slowly adding Christmas songs into my playlist and getting some shopping done early.

So, how exactly did I spend today you ask? Just keep on reading for the most festive blog post in June!

Lush Christmas Bath

As I made the biggest lush order of my life last year when the Christmas products were released I still have quite a few festive bath bombs left. So, I started the day with a very relaxing bath using the Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb, which is my favourite festive bath bomb, and the Snow Fairy shower gel. It smelt so Christmassy and started my day off amazingly.

Christmas Jumper

After the bath, I then got changed into a Christmas jumper. Thankfully I live in the UK and so far our summer has felt like winter so wearing a jumper is still perfectly acceptable. I chose a super cosy, thick jumper and paired it with leggings and fluffy socks for ultimate comfort!

Christmas Movies

Choosing which Christmas movies to watch was very difficult. I wanted to watch at least 3. I decided against watching my all time favourite Christmas movie, Santa Claus: The Movie, as I like to keep that one purely for December viewing so it’s extra special. In the end, I chose The Muppets Christmas Carol, Nativity and Elf. All feel good, heartwarming films!

Hot Chocolate

Obviously, no Christmassy celebration would be complete without a delicious mug of hot chocolate!

Hot Chocolate Halfway to Christmas

Did you really think I was going to have a movie day with hot chocolate and no snacks?! Don’t be silly! I got a bag of my favourite chocolate treats, Milky Bar Buttons and ordered a pizza from a Domino’s too. Both were delicious and made me very happy.

Christmas Movie Snacks

Christmas Scented Candle

Throughout the day and movie time, I also had a Christmas scented Yankee Candle, Frosted Gingerbread, lit so the whole living room smelt festive and felt cosy.

Halfway to Christmas

I also posted some festive pictures on my autumn/Christmas Instagram account which you can follow here if you’d like for a countdown all year round!

Has my love for Christmas gone a bit too far? Or would you happily join me and celebrate? Let me know!

I hope you all enjoyed this halfway to Christmas post. Remember to subscribe to my blog while you’re here. You can also follow me on Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest too. Thanks for reading!

Oh my goodness, I can’t even begin to express how much I love this!! I definitely wish I could join you, lol! It’s a brilliant idea! Also, I LOVE that you have a Rapunzel mug, haha. Oh and the fact that this actually sort of kicks off Christmas for you! I can’t believe you already start planning gifts and setting a budget. That’s hard core, but I love the dedication. It’s very organized for sure!

If you ever come to the UK we’d have to plan a festive day! ? Budgeting and making lists now just makes it so much easier and stress free for me come December, then I can actually enjoy Christmas shopping…and feel a little smug watching others panic ??
