Exeter Shopping Day!

Shopping haul

Yes, that’s right, I’ve been shopping again. On the bank holiday Monday me, my mum and my sister decided to go to Exeter for a shopping/browsing day. I wasn’t really looking to buy anything, I had nothing in mind that I wanted which of course meant I spent way more than anticipated!

Despite Exeter only being an hour away I’d never actually been before. It’s a beautiful city, especially when the sun was beaming down, and we had a great day. Normally we’ll go to Bristol for a shopping day but I think we’ve now all been converted to Exeter. There’s so much more there, major department stores and shops that we don’t have where I live, plus cute quirky side street shops, adorable cafes and a gorgeous cathedral where everyone was sat in the sun.

In the morning we mainly wandered around, getting our bearings and exploring the city. My mum and my sister both bought some new, summery clothes, but I couldn’t really find anything that was inspiring me and was having a bit of a dilemma which I shall explain later on.

I spotted these umbrella’s in one of the shopping centres and thought they were super cute and Instagram worthy. With the sun out everything seemed so bright and vibrant and everyone was in a good mood and wearing their summer clothes. Having hot and sunny weather in the UK is such a rarity people really make the most of it!

We, of course, stopped at Kaspa’s for lunch that consisted of elaborate ice cream sundaes! If you follow me on Instagram you’ll see I visit this place fairly frequently. I’m sure it’s not hard to see why!

I ordered the hot fudge sundae which was an absolute delight while my sister got the M&M waffle and my mum had a strawberry shortcake sundae. It was very much needed in the 24-degree heat!

Now let’s get into the haul:

OPI Lisbon Collection Nail Polish Set – £29.99

One of the first stores we went into was John Lewis where I spotted this beautiful nail polish set! I’ve been painting my nails a lot more recently and discovered most of my nail polishes were either empty, dried up or just plain boring. I’ve owned OPI nail polishes before and loved them so thought this mini set of 12 for only £29.99 was perfect! It has a range of bright and more subtle shades and they’re such good quality. My favourite shade so far has been ‘Tile Art To Warm Your Heart’ which is the vibrant blue. I’ve had a lot of fun trying out these colours and think they’re ideal for summer! They’d also make a great gift if you have any birthday’s coming up.

Goldkid London Flower Print Dress – £28.00

Now I had said earlier that I wasn’t really feeling inspired by the clothes around. That was until I spotted this dress in Debenhams! As soon as I saw it I knew it was coming home with me. We all know I can’t resist a floral pattern and I adore a peter pan collar! I thought this dress was so summery and exactly the cutesy style that I tend to go for. I got this in a size 12 and it’s very comfortable. The only thing is I can’t tell if it’s flattering or if it makes me look like a granny. Either way I love it and will be wearing it when I go to Disneyland!

2018 Apple Ipad 9.7″ Gold – £319

This item was the dilemma I was having. For the past few months, I have been wanting a new iPad. My current one I purchased in my first year of uni, it’s the 3rd generation, runs pretty slowly, can’t hold much of a charge and has a cracked screen from when I dropped it last year. However, despite all of that it still works perfectly fine, just a little slow. There wasn’t really a need for me to buy a new one. But good God I wanted a new one so badly! This one was a little bit smaller, smooth, sleek, gold and best of all not cracked. After discussing it with my mother, sister and texting my boyfriend about it who pretty much all told me not to buy it…I decided to buy it.

I use my iPad every single day, I use it to mainly watch Youtube and Netflix and to read on the Kindle app, so I knew I would get my money’s worth. As I said I’ve had my old iPad since my first year of uni which was in 2012 and it still works, so I was pretty confident this new one will last me a really long time. All of these factors helped me make my decision to really treat myself and buy a brand new gold iPad and it’s so pretty!

That was everything I got, it goes without saying that I am very happy with it all. I hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading!

Haha definitely spent way more than anticipated! I am on my second iPad I couldn’t live without one. I had my first stolen! I have never been to Bristol’s or Exeter but have been to bath and they had the umbrellas up there! My fiance has family in Bristol so we should visit. Looks like you had a great shopping trip, and how lovely that the weather was so nice for BH Monday!? X
