Month in Pictures: February 2020
Why is it that January drags but February absolutely flies by? Even with the extra day this month felt like it was over in 5 minutes! Despite how quick February 2020 felt it was a really amazing month for me!
Got a New Job
After months of job hunting, interviews and receiving hundreds of rejections I finally managed to land a job in London as a copywriter for a digital marketing agency! It was honestly such a relief to receive that ‘we’d like to offer you the role’ email. Not ashamed to admit I cried when I found out. I’m very excited, and also a tad nervous, to start working again, especially in the digital marketing industry.
Of course, Valentine’s Day happened in February and normally Jaz and I have never been together on the actual day to celebrate so it was nice to make plans. We had dinner at The Ivy City Garden which was amazing, had a few cocktails in Slug and Lettuce and then played mini-golf at Swingers. Despite the fact that I was ill and felt worse and worse as the night went on, it was still a great night and we had loads of fun.
As I had a few interviews in London I decided to make the most of those days and explored the city after. I had a great time wandering around Covent Garden and Shoreditch, taking pictures, browsing the shops and finding some hidden gems such as Neals Yard, the Infinity Tunnel and the Redemption Bar Angel Wings! London is such a beautiful place which so much to discover all the time!
Went to Venice
At the end of the month my mum, sister and I took a trip to Venice to celebrate my sister turning 21! Neither my sister nor I had ever been to Italy before and my mum had gone once last year so we were all very excited. We were there right in the middle of the Venice Carnival, where so many people dressed up in extravagant costumes and wore classic Venetian masks. It was incredible! We all had such an amazing time eating the best, carb-filled foods, seeing beautiful sights and having tons of fun. Next week I’ll be posting in more detail all about our trip to Venice so stay tuned for that!
Those are all my highlights for February 2020! It was definitely an eventful month and I’m very excited to see what March will bring next. Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever been to Venice or what some of your highlights of February 2020 was! I hope you all enjoyed this post.
