Month in Pictures: January 2020

Here we go, the first Month in Pictures post of 2020! January has always been my least favourite month. Everyone, myself included, seems so miserable after Christmas. The post-Christmas and January Blues are a real thing! Not only that but it’s a month that really drags on and everything is just so dreary. I’ve really struggled to find the motivation to do anything this month which is the complete opposite of how it should be, new year, new me and all that. Anyway, despite going through some struggles and feeling down quite a lot in January it wasn’t all bad. I did discover some new places and did some new things this month, but I’m definitely glad we’re finally near the end of January 2020 now, especially as I’ve got a very exciting trip coming up in February!
Visited Hainault Forest Country Park
On New Year’s Day, Jaz and I went for a little walk around Hainault Forest Country Park. I’d never been before so it was nice to get out on the first day of the year and explore somewhere new. I had no idea there was also a little farm you could walk around and look at the animals. It was a really nice place to visit and walk around. I just wish we’d worn better shoes as it had been raining earlier so it was extremely muddy!
Spent a Weekend Dog Sitting
We all know I’m a cat person. I’ve actually never owned a dog before. A friend of Jaz’s dad needed someone to look after his dog, Monty, while he was away so we volunteered. We had Monty for a weekend and in that time I decided I wouldn’t be opposed to getting a dog in the future haha. He was very cute, energetic and a really good boy!
Night out in Shoreditch
Two of Jaz’s friends celebrated their birthday this month so we all had a big night out in Shoreditch which was a lot of fun. We started the night with drinks at The Botanist Bar before moving on to Hache Burgers where we had some cocktails and delicious food. From there we went to a couple of bars/clubs where we laughed, drank and danced (well Jaz and his friends danced while I stood awkwardly on the sidelines with a vodka in hand haha). The night ended how all good nights out should…ordering a cheeseburger and chicken nuggets in Mcdonald’s. The morning after we were both very hungover but determined to do some wedding planning so the day was not completely lost!
Visited our Wedding Venue and Had a Planning Meeting
This month we had our first wedding planning meeting with our venue. With only 10 months to go until the wedding the planning is in full force. We are majorly stressed at how much there is still left to do haha. Aside from feeling the pressure, the meeting went well and we discussed a lot of things such as how the day will run, the timings of everything and got some great recommendations for other suppliers. Next up on our list is finding a florist, DJ, and having a food tasting session which I am very excited about.
It was great to see our wedding venue in all of its glory again. It really is such a beautiful place!
Those are all of my January 2020 highlights! Let me know in the comments what you got up to this January. I hope you all enjoyed this post. While you’re here don’t forget to subscribe to my blog. You can also follow me on Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest too. Thanks for reading!

I’m a cat person too but Monty is beautiful! Dogs make me nervous but if they’re calm and friendly certain breeds I like 🙂 your purple eye makeup for the night out in Shoreditch is stunning! x

He was very cute! I’m the same, big dogs make me nervous but he was pretty small, super friendly and while he was energetic he wasn’t jumping up all over you, just running around in excitement before walks haha. Aww thank you very much! 😊 x
