Month in Pictures: July 2020
Well…there goes July 2020. As we start to head into August I start getting more and more excited as it means autumn is just around the corner! July was a bit more adventurous than June. I actually went outside the house several times if you can believe that haha. Here are all of my highlights from July 2020!
My friends and fiancé finally convinced me to leave the house properly this month with the promise of cocktails! Our favourite cocktail bar reopened and we couldn’t resist. It was definitely weird being out and there were so many more precautions but it was nice to feel normal again. We had to book a table and had a 2-hour slot. When we got there they took all of our contact details and of course we had to sanitise our hands before enjoying some delicious cocktails.
Took a Trip to Bristol
My fiancé and I also took a trip to a shopping centre in Bristol. We wore our masks the whole time and again it felt really good being out and about and browsing the shops. We were primarily looking for a few little house bits as we should (fingers crossed) finally be moving next month. But, instead, I ended up getting a beautiful pair of Tiffany sunglasses for our honeymoon and a few little treats from Lush and my fiancé got himself a new Apple Watch.
Went to Lyme Regis Beach
When we got back from Bristol the weather was so nice we thought we’d take a quick trip to the beach. It was about 5/6pm when we got to Lyme Regis beach and it was actually busier than expected so we didn’t stay for very long. Still, we walked along the beach and the cobb, went in the arcades, had a cocktail and some ice cream and just enjoyed the fresh air. I took my camera with me too, to get some pretty shots of the sea. It was a really lovely evening. I’ve definitely missed going to the beach this summer.
Ordered our Wedding Invitations
This month we ordered and got our wedding invitations delivered from India! They’re so beautiful and so much more than I could’ve imagined! I’m absolutely thrilled with them. Unfortunately, we’re not sure if the wedding will end up being postponed and won’t know for sure until mid-September. Honestly, there’s been a lot of tears and anxiety surrounding the wedding. Instead of feeling happy when I see my daily countdown, I feel nervous and worried. But, we’re still trying to plan things as normal and are hoping for the best. We have a final wedding planning meeting in August with our venue to discuss everything and potentially come up with a backup plan.
Got my Nails Done
My regular nail place in Somerset opened their doors again and, after a stressful week, I immediately booked an appointment! I wore a mask of course. I feel so much better wearing a mask everywhere. And my nail tech had a shield as well as new equipment such as nail files for each individual client. I went for something simple and summery with a bit of glitter and I’m so happy to have nice nails again! It was amazing having that little bit of me-time.
Those are all my highlights for July 2020! I’m looking forward to August as I have a few exciting things coming up such as some time off work and an exciting late-night galaxy photoshoot.
