My Quarantine-Free Bucket List
I never released just how much I went out before I was no longer allowed. I always thought of myself as a homebody, but being trapped inside without being able to just pop to the shops, visit people, go on spontaneous little trips or make plans has me feeling extremely bored and restless. There are lots of little things I’ve really been missing and probably took for granted that I can’t wait to do again once we’re all free. So I thought I’d make a little quarantine-free bucket list.
Go to Caffe Nero
Caffe Nero is my favourite coffee shop. Like, I’m properly obsessed. I’ve really been missing grabbing a hot drink and an almond croissant for my Friday treat breakfast before work. I’m already planning my first order for when we can go back. I’ll be getting a hot chocolate Milano which is an extra thick, creamy hot chocolate, a brie and bacon panini and a chocolate coin. My go-to order.
Book Theatre Tickets
There are so many shows that I want to see! Before lockdown, I only really want to theatre shows for special occasions. But now I just want to make the most of all of them. Right now Six is on the top of my list. I also really want to book tickets for Frozen the Musical.
Get my Nails Done
Before lockdown happened I got my first proper paycheck in about 6 months. The first weekend after payday I had big plans which obviously couldn’t happen. One of the things I wanted to do was get my nails done. I haven’t had them done since February so they’re definitely due a manicure!
Watch a Movie at the Cinema
Normally Jaz and I will take a spontaneous trip to the cinema if we’re just bored and want to get out of the house. Even if there’s nothing much on we want to see we’ll still go and more often than not discover a movie we didn’t think we’d like but end up loving. I miss being able to do that. I miss just the whole cinema experience. And there’s nothing quite like cinema popcorn!
Go to Nandos
I didn’t realise how much I’d miss Nando’s until it was taken from me! It’s such a basic thing haha but it was always our ‘healthier’ take out option. Again, going to Nandos was usually a pretty spontaneous thing. If we’re wandering around the shopping centre late at night or have cinema plans we’ll just grab a Nandos. It’s definitely going to be one of my first stops when we’re free.
Get my Hair Done
Getting my hair done was one of my payday treat plans that just couldn’t happen. Every spring/summer I like to dye my hair a lighter shade of blonde to brighten it up again. Now that the sun has come out I’m desperately wanting to dye it. I just feel like it’s so dull and flat and needs brightening to match the sunny days! I can’t wait to be able to get it done professionally.
Go to the Gym
Can’t believe I’m saying this but home workouts just aren’t the same. As much as I complain and despise the gym it’s the only place where I actually focus on working out. Working out at hone I don’t feel like I push myself enough so I don’t feel any different after.
Have a Girls Night Out
I miss cocktail nights so much! Especially cocktail nights with my friends and family. I can’t wait for all this to be over so we can go out, have some cocktails, some laughs, catch up and feel somewhat normal again.
Spend a Few Weeks in Somerset
As soon as this lockdown is lifted I’m driving straight down to Somerset. I miss my home, friends, family, the cat! It was so hard to make the decision to stay in Essex during all of this and I definitely regret that decision. I can’t wait to go back home and spend a few weeks in a place that actually feels like home.
That’s all the main things on my quarantine-free bucket list right now. What things are you looking forward to doing once lockdown has ended and the world slowly goes back to normal?
