The Self Love Tag
Last week I was tagged by the lovely Holly Da Silva to do the Self Love tag. I’d never actually heard of this tag before so I was pretty excited to do it! 1.) What is something that is getting you down at the moment?
Honestly the fact the summer is coming is getting me down. I am not a fan of summer. I hate the heat, the bugs, the hay fever, the clothes. Ugh it’s just not for me!
2.) What is something that makes you happy?
I’ve been working really hard on improving my blog in terms of the content I’m putting out plus engaging more with other bloggers and over the last couple of months, I’ve really seen an improvement so I’m very happy my work seems to be paying off!
3.) Name 3 guilty pleasures
- Trashy TV like Love Island and Made in Chelsea, I’m so addicted to these shows!
- Chocolate, I could eat chocolate all day every day. There is never a time where I’m not in the mood for chocolate.
- Buying makeup/beauty products I don’t need. I know I should buy yet another eyeshadow palette but they’re all so pretty and I need them!
4.) What is something about yourself you want to improve on?
Like Holly did in her post I’m going to split this into physically and mentally.
Physically I’d like to improve my weight. I was doing really well with my weight loss a couple of months ago and had managed to lose 11 pounds. Since Easter, though the weight loss has been on a bit of a halt so I really want to get back into it as it made me so happy and much more confident in my clothes.
Mentally I’d like to worry less and just ‘go with the flow’. I hate how much tiny little things bother me and how I overthink absolutely everything, it stops me from doing a lot of things.
5.) When was the last time you belly laughed?
There was a morning a few weeks ago now involving helium balloons and singing that had me almost crying with laughter!
6.) What is your biggest insecurity/fear?
Being cheated on is definitely my biggest fear and I also have a phobia of dying which then makes me scared of pretty much everything where death or injury can potentially happen. I’m a bit of a mess really haha.
7.) Name a song that always cheers you up when you’re down
Any Christmas song. Doesn’t matter what time of year it is, if I’m feeling down I can always whack on Step into Christmas or the Muppet Christmas Carol Soundtrack and feel instantly happier.
8.) Name three things you like about yourself
Oh wow 3?! That’s tough.
- My eye colour; it’s quite an unusual colour where it looks either grey, green or blue depending on the lighting.
- My taste in TV shows; Aside from the trashy TV I watch some pretty great shows and am always introducing people to new series.
- My boobs; being completely honest here but I’m an E cup and proud haha they’re the only thing about my body that I think is pretty decent.
9.) What is an achievement that has made you proud of yourself this year
Is it bad that I can’t think of anything? There’s nothing big I’ve really achieved so far this year. Toward the end of the year, I’ll officially be a homeowner so I think that’s going to be my biggest achievement this year.
10.) Tell us your happiest memory
I have so many happy memories it’s hard to choose just one. Every birthday and Christmas is always a happy memory, every holiday and staycation, getting engaged last year. There are a million happy memories!
