10 Things to Do in Animal Crossing Every Day

Animal Crossing New Horizons on Nintendo Switch has been a real saviour during the lockdown. It’s a great way to pass the time as it’s just so addicting, plus you can virtually visit your friend’s towns/houses too! Which is the most social interaction any of us can have right now.
As the game works in real-time, there are new things for you to do every day. So, I’ve put together a little list of 10 things to do in Animal Crossing every day in order to get more Bells, Nook Miles and special items.
1. Find 4 fossils
Every day there will be four dig marks in various places across your island to dig up. These will be fossils which you can then take to Blathers at the museum to have them assessed and either donate them to the museum or sell them.
2. Find the message in a bottle
Make sure to scour the beach every day as there will be a message in a bottle somewhere. The message will contain a note from some random character and a new DIY recipe!
3. Hit all the rocks
Hit all of the rocks in your town for valuable resources. Some days you may be lucky enough to find a golden nugget. There’s also one money rock per day which, if you hit it repeatedly fast enough, will make you a quick 16,000 Bells.
4. Find the money tree hole
If you come across a glowing spot in the ground dig it up! There will be 1000 Bells in that spot so it’s super handy. You can also bury up to 10,000 bells back into the glowing spot to grow a money tree that will give you 30,000 Bells in a few days time.
5. Speak to all the villagers
Make sure you speak to all of your villagers so they don’t feel neglected. Unless there’s someone you don’t like and are trying to get rid off.
6. Check the shops
Both Nook’s Cranny and the Tailor shop will be restocked with new stuff every day so it’s worth checking it all out! Plus the more you spend in Nook’s Cranny the quicker you’ll be able to get the shop upgrade.
7. Visit the Nook Stop to get miles
Don’t forget to visit the Nook Stop in the Townhall to get your daily miles. They cap at 300 miles after 7 days so it’s a super quick and easy way to build them up. Plus you can then check the Nook shopping too.
8. Check for special visitors
Unfortunately, Isabelle doesn’t announce when there are special visitors in your town so you’ll have to check. Special visitors like Kicks, Leif, Flick, Saraha and more will occasionally wander around on random days selling special items.
9. Complete 5 challenges
Your first set of 5 nook miles+ tasks will reward you with bonus miles so be sure to complete these every day!
10. Shake trees for furniture
Shake all of the tree’s that don’t have fruit on them for surprise Bells or furniture. I’d recommend carrying your net with you though, in case a swarm of bees decide to come out and attack!
I hope you all enjoyed this post! Do you do these 10 things in Animal Crossing every day?

This is so helpful! I do the main things but never think to look for message bottles or shake fruitless trees!

Glad you found it helpful! You can get some really good furniture by shaking trees on your island and other islands you visit using a NMT sometimes 😊

One tip I recently found out about is that there’s a neighbor in the morning and one in the later evening that’s building in their home and if you talk to them, they’ll give you the DIY they’re making! Great tips 🙂 xx

Oh really? I’ve been in their houses a few times while they’ve been making stuff but. I didn’t know it was 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. That’s interesting, thanks! 😊
