While I was in Venice I, of course, did a bit of shopping! I didn’t really go out there with a plan to shop much, so I wasn’t expecting to buy as much as I did. Trying to squeeze everything into my hand luggage to come back was a bit of a struggle. From chocolate to handbags, keep reading to find out what I bought in Venice, Italy.
Every day of our trip we went into this one Italian chocolate shops called Nino, where they offered us multiple different samples no matter how often we went in. The chocolate was incredible. From pistachio to hazelnut it was impossible to not pick up a few bits.
The first thing I got in Nino was a Belgian chocolate smartie slab, it caught my eye on the first day I was there and it was absolutely delicious.
I also bought a box of little hazelnut chocolates for both me and Jaz to share. These are the samples we had every day and they were just glorious. Like little balls of happiness!
I also got these two impressive solid Lindt chocolate chunks! These were in quite a few little random shops down some alleyways. I haven’t actually attempted to eat these yet. I’m not entirely sure how to go about it, plus they just look too good to eat!
Also from Nino, I bought this box of chocolate biscuits for me and Jaz to share….although I may have had a few more than him Again these were incredible, chocolate biscuits filled with a gooey chocolate inside!
Sephora Vivid Earth Face Palette
When I found out there was a Sephora in Venice I was very excited! We don’t have a Sephora anywhere in the UK so it was pretty cool to be able to go in one and look at all the makeup that isn’t as easy to see in person or buy. I wanted to pick up a few things that I knew definitely weren’t going to be available in the UK, so I headed straight for the Sephora Collection.
I got the Vivid Earth Face Palette as I wanted to add a couple more blushers to my collection. This palette is really pretty and the blushers are surprisingly intense! It also has a highlighter which I’ve used a lot and it gives a really pretty, subtle glow. I haven’t used the bronzer and I doubt that I will as it’s not quite the right shade for me, but overall I’m really happy with this palette.
Sephora Vivid Earth Eyeshadow Palette
I also picked up the Vivid Earth Eyeshadow palette as the shades were really calling me. I haven’t really had the time to play around with it much yet, but what I have used I’ve been impressed with. Again it’s very pigmented and the colours are stunning. There was quite a lot of fallout with it though as the shades are pretty powdery. It’s a great neutral palette though and come autumn time I can see myself reaching for it.
Sephora Eyestories Fresh Florals Eyeshadow Palette
The last palette I picked up was the bright Eyestories Fresh Florals palette. I was immediately drawn in by the yellow shade and then though all the shimmering pale pinks and champagnes were just stunning. Again, I haven’t had as much time as I would’ve liked to play around with it, but I think it’ll be a great little everyday spring palette.
Italian Leather Handbag
There were so many Italian leather handbag shops while we were there. I knew I definitely wanted to get one, but trying to choose only one was very difficult. It wasn’t until the last day when I finally spotted one that I immediately fell in love with. It was quite different to my usual style of bag as I tend to go for big, bulky black ones with gold or rose gold detailing. This one was smaller, more compact and in a beautiful shade of pink. I can’t wait to use it during the spring and summer months!
Gondola Cat Magnet
What kind of trip would it be if I didn’t bring back a magnet? As soon as I saw this one I knew I had to get it. Out of all the gorgeous, sparkling Venetian mask magnets, this is one I needed. I thought it was absolutely adorable and it looked so much like my cat, Gaston!
That’s everything I bought in Venice! Let me know in the comments what you like the look of or if you’ve tried any of the chocolate I bought.I hope you all enjoyed this post.
