What I got for Christmas 2019

Happy 2020! I hope you’ve all had a fabulous start to the year/decade. I know I’m a little late to the party with this post as Christmas was nearly two weeks ago now, can you believe that?! But I still wanted to share what I got for Christmas with you all.
These types of posts can be pretty controversial so I’d like to just say before I begin that I am in no way bragging. Similar to haul style posts I simply want to share what I got for Christmas as, personally, I think these posts are fun and interesting to read. I’ve been loving seeing what other people got by either reading their blogs or seeing it on Instagram and Twitter, but then I am a pretty nosey person haha.
Cedar Falls Spa Day
My mother bought a spa day experience for me, my sister and herself at Cedar Falls in Tauton! I’ve never had a spa day before so I’ve no idea what to really expect but I’m very excited. This year is going to be extremely full-on and busy so a relaxing, girly spa day will 100% be needed.
Excitable Edgar
You may recognise this little guy from the John Lewis advert! Every year, whenever the advert comes out my gran will always try to get me the little toy that goes with it. I wasn’t a huge fan of the adverts the last couple of years but I LOVED Edgar so my gran managed to snap him up very quickly.
Gingerbread House Decoration
My mum got me this really pretty gingerbread house Christmas decoration. I saw it in our local garden centre and fell in love with it, not knowing that my mum had already bought it so she clearly knows me very well haha.
Christmas Tree Singing Decoration
From my sister, I got this hideous yet adorable singing Christmas tree decoration. I received quite a few Christmas decorations from people as everyone obviously knows how obsessed I am with Christmas and that I’m super excited to have Christmas in my first home this year!
Dumbo DVD
My sister also got me the Dumbo DVD which I was very happy about! It’s such a cute movie and I loved it when we saw it in the cinema. We watched this on Boxing Day, when we were all exhausted and could do nothing other than watch TV and eat haha.
Singing Polar Bear Christmas Decoration
My mum got both me and my sister this amazingly tacky polar bear singing head Christmas decoration haha. It even has a motion sensor so whenever someone walks past it’ll start belting out a festive tune. It’s definitely going to be a decoration that everyone loves to hate. I can’t wait to put it up in my house for Christmas this year.
Neals Yard Skincare
I got this little Neals Yard skincare set from my mum which I was very appreciative about as my skin is suffering in the winter weather. I’d never tried anything from Neals Yard before but I’ve been super impressed with this kit so far. It included a facial wash, toner, moisturiser and a face mask. The only thing I haven’t got around to using yet is the face mask but my skin has been loving everything else.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush
I was very surprised my mother bought me this Hourglass blush! I’d been wanting another one for a while now as I am totally in love with the shade I currently own, Mood Exposure. She got me the shade Luminous Flush which is a stunning champagne rose colour. It’s a pretty subtle shade that will be ideal for spring/summer.
Silver Leaf Necklace
My mum works in a Jewellers and I pointed out this necklace to her months ago, when I went back to see it again it was gone and she told me a customer had bought it. Turns out she was the customer and it was just sat under our tree! I love this necklace, I think it’s super pretty and I can see myself wearing it a lot.
The Nightmare Before Christmas Calendar
My sister bought me The Nightmare Before Christmas 2020 calendar so I can feel spooky and festive all year round!
Bride Robe
I’d been wanting one of these bridal robes for so long and this particular one was on the top of my Etsy wishlist which my mum bought. It’s a really pretty, silky robe and I can’t wait to wear it.
Dunder Mifflin Hoodie
The US Office is my favourite TV show of all time. No matter how many times I watch it, it always makes me laugh. My dad got me the Dunder Mifflin hoodie I wanted from Etsy. I already have the matching t-shirt which I wear to the gym and wanted the hoodie to just lounge around the house in.
Lush
It wouldn’t be Christmas if I didn’t receive any Lush goodies! My aunt and uncle got me the Intergalactic bath bomb, which I managed to guess right away, through the wrapping paper from the strong scent haha. They also got me Chris the Camel which was one of my favourite festive bath bombs this year.
My dad got me another one of the Snow Fairy body sprays which I was very grateful for as I’ve nearly run out of my other bottle I got last Christmas and couldn’t bear the thoughts of not smelling like snow fairy all year!
YSL Mon Paris Perfume
Jaz got me a bottle of my favourite perfume! I had run out of this perfume months ago so I’m very glad he bought me a new one.
Swarovski Bear
Some of you may know about my little crystal collection/tradition. Every year Jaz gets me a little festive Swarovski ornament and I adore them. For my birthday my sister got me a little crystal cat and we also picked up a crystal Genie from Disneyland Paris so our collection is growing. This bear is absolutely adorable, it’s definitely one of my favourites.
Christmas Memories Yankee Candle
Considering how many candles I own, and how much Jaz moans about the number of candles I have, I was not expecting him to buy me another haha. He got me the Christmas Memories scented candle, which isn’t one I’ve had before. It smells incredible, of gingerbread and winter spices. I’ll be saving this one for next Christmas!
Chocolate
So, I got a ridiculous amount of chocolate from various people. It’s at the point where I don’t know where to begin with it all! Clearly, people know how much of a chocoholic I am haha. From matchmakers, after eights and terry’s chocolate orange to candy canes, Hotel Chocolat penguins and even a big tin of Custard Creams, my favourite biscuits. I’m all set in the snack department now!
I also received these really cool hot chocolate bombs from my nan and grandad. You fill a mug up with hot milk, drop in a bomb and watch as it melts away with mini marshmallows in the middle. It tastes amazing!
My sister got both me and my mum the Cadbury Christmas Cottage Kit. We’ve managed to complete one of them so far. It was a lot harder than we thought it would be! I think it turned out pretty well though. Trying to resist the chocolate while making it was definitely the hardest part haha.
Bell
As a joke, my sister got me this bell. When I was a lot younger my nan and grandad used to give me a bell whenever I visited their house that I could ring when I wanted a drink or some food. They would come running in, take my order and treat me like a little queen haha. My sister thought it’d be funny, since Jaz and I will be moving into a three-storey house this year, to get me a bell to ring for Jaz’s attention if I’m on the top floor and he’s on the bottom floor for example. Needless to say, Jaz was not as excited for the bell as I was haha. I don’t think he’ll be bringing me food whenever I ring it, unfortunately!
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream
On Jaz’s side of the family, they do a secret Santa each year. This was my first year being involved and it just so happened that his cousin, who knows how much I love Charlotte Tilbury, got me in the draw. I was thrilled to receive the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I’d been wanting the full-sized version for so long, rather than just relying on the free samples I got with my orders haha.
Dior Happy 2020 Party In Colours Palette
Jaz’s cousin also got me this stunning Dior palette. I’ve never actually tried any makeup from Dior before so this was very exciting. I love how vibrant the colours are and of course, I wore it all over the New Year period! I actually have a full review coming up on this palette soon so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Ugg Boots
I haven’t owned a pair of ugg boots in years. I used to live in them pretty much all throughout college and uni. They were so incredibly comfortable and, despite what everyone said about them, I thought they were adorable. I apparently had mentioned to Jaz a few months ago that I wouldn’t mind another pair of Uggs, especially with winter coming, so he went and bought the ones that I had wanted for years! I’ve worn them quite a few times already and have quickly fallen in love with Uggs all over again haha.
Singing and Dancing Father Christmas
As a joint present to me and Jaz, my gran got us this fabulous singing and dancing Father Christmas! For about 15 years she owned one of these which I loved as a child. Two years ago her one finally packed up and had to be thrown out which was devastating as we all had great memories of it. So, she decided to buy me and Jaz a brand new one to have for our house. I may have screamed a little in excitement when I opened it and realised what it was. It’s just as amazing as I remember and I’m so, beyond excited to have him in our house next Christmas!
Harry Potter World Tickets
Lastly, my mum really surprised us all with Harry Potter World tickets! As big Harry Potter fans none of us could believe it when we opened this gift. We’ve been once before and loved it and they’ve since added lots more to see such as the Forbidden Forest, so we’re very excited to go back. We haven’t booked a date yet but we’re thinking of going sometime in the summer. I can’t wait!
That’s pretty much everything I got for Christmas. I also received some money, gift cards, a festive mug set, silver tree decoration and some Ted Baker body spray and lotion set. I was definitely well and truly spoilt this year. Everyone just went above and beyond and I’m so grateful for everything I got.
I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you made it to the end then congratulations haha. Let me know in the comments what some of your favourite presents were. Or, if you’ve written a similar post link it down below so I can have a nosey little read!
