What I got for Christmas 2020
Despite being in Tier 4, Jaz and I had a great Christmas Day. We video called both sides of the family, cooked our first Christmas lunch together, chilled out and of course, opened a bunch of presents! Today, I thought I’d show you what I got for Christmas 2020. I was super lucky and super spoiled with gifts this year which was unexpected with the pandemic going on. Please note, I am in no way trying to brag. I just want to show you some of my favourite things I got this year. I love reading these posts from other people so I hope you enjoy it too!
Urban Decay Stoned Palette
This palette has been on my wishlist for months but I was patient and waited to see if anyone would get it for me for Christmas. The wait was worth it! My sister got me the palette, along with some of the Urban Decay Primer Potion which I was running out of. It’s such a stunning and unique palette. I’ve only used it once so far and the shades were beyond pretty! I’ll have a full review of this palette up in a few weeks so stay tuned for that.
Stitches Plush Toy
My sister also got me this adorable little Stitches plush toy which I’m obsessed with! I’m a huge fan of Animal Crossing and Stitches has been my favourite character since I was a kid. It’s super cute but the problem is, now I just want more!
Dr. Martens Pascal Front Zip Boots
I’ve been wanting a pair of chunky boots for quite some time now. And, my husband, begrudgingly, got me a pair of Dr. Martens! I say begrudgingly because everyone I showed these boots too said they were ugly haha. But I love them! I think they look really cool and would pair well with black jeans or a dress and tights. I’ve never owned a pair of Dr. Martens before though and from what I’ve read it’s going to take quite a while to break them in. Still, I can’t wait to wear them out properly. I feel like there will be more boots like this in my future.
Pat Mcgrath Mothership Divine Rose 2 Palette
My mother got me the Pat Mcgrath Mothership Divine Rose 2 Palette which was completely unexpected! This palette is insanely expensive but so, so beautiful. This is the first Pat Mcgrath palette I’ve owned and I can’t stop staring at it. The shades, especially the duo-chrome shade, are just amazing! I’ve only swatched it so far but I’m very excited to have a play around with it. Again, there will be a full review coming up soon!
Helicopter Flight with Bubbly for 2 Experience
My dad got Jaz and I a helicopter flight around the English countryside with champagne experience which I am so excited to do! After the year we’ve just had I definitely want to get out more and do new things, if we’re allowed of course. I’ve never been in a helicopter before so I’m definitely a little nervous but I’m sure it’ll be absolutely amazing and unforgettable too.
Outlander Book Series
I am completely obsessed with the Outlander series! I only learned about it this year but I’ve already watched it twice through and stole the first book from my mother haha. It’s literally become one of my all-time favourite series, so my mum bought me the book set. They are very long books so it’s going to take me an extremely long time to get through but I’m so excited to get started and be back in 18th century Scotland again!
I got several gift vouchers from John Lewis, Lounge Underwear, Amazon and Origin so I can buy the next Sims expansion pack whenever it comes out. I’ve used the John Lewis gift cards on the Charlotte Tilbury Bejewelled Eyes to Hypnotise Palette and some Dermalogica skincare which I’m super excited for. And I used the Amazon gift card on a ring light with tripod stand so I can improve my makeup pictures and a galaxy light projector to have a super relaxing room!
Yog Nog Shower Gel
I tried out the small bottle of this and loved it so much Santa decided to bring me a full-sized bottle! It smells incredible, just like winter spice in a bottle.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without receiving a Swarovski crystal ornament. We’ve got quite the collection building all displayed in a cabinet in our dining room which I love. This year, my husband got me the beginning of a train. We’d always see the carriages in the shops but never the front of the train. Somehow he managed to find it and now we can build it up over the next few years.
Ted Baker Scarf
My mother in law got me a Ted Baker scarf which was totally unexpected! Although she does know I’m a big fan of Ted Baker clothing and usually gets me gifts cards from them haha. The scarf is incredibly soft and it’s nice and thick so will definitely keep me warm. It’s super pretty and I’ll be wearing it out on my next walk!
Cocktail Shaker Kit and Recipe Book
It’s no secret that I love a cocktail, so my brother in law got me a professional cocktail shaker kit, complete with a ton of accessories and a recipe book. I have no idea what half of the accessories are for haha but I plan on using it and making some, hopefully, delicious cocktails on New Year’s Eve.
Kitchenaid Mixer Recipe Book
Since getting my beautiful Kitchenaid mixer as a wedding present from my mother, I’ve been baking a lot more. So, a friend of mine got me a Kitchenaid mixer recipe book which seems to have hundreds of incredible recipes that I can’t wait to try out.
It’s not Christmas without chocolate and people seem to know that giant, oversized chocolate is my favourite kind haha. My sister got me a huge Lindt Santa. I see this in the shops every year and always want to get it haha. I bought it myself one year in the January sales when it was half off and it was amazing. So I’m very glad I get to enjoy it all over again! My husband also got me the giant Cadbury chocolate bar which I can’t wait to dive into. Fun fact: the giant Cadbury bars used to be only £5 when I was at uni, so I bought one every week and practically lived off it – it was a great time haha.
Pink Teddy Bedding
My dad got me some pink teddy bedding and it is the most comfortable thing! I put this bedding on right away and Jaz tucked me all up and it was actually heaven haha. I look forward to going to bed way more than usual now, knowing that I get to sleep in super soft and fluffy bedding. And it looks super cute too!
Personalised Hot Water Bottle
One thing I’ve been wanting for a while is a hot water bottle, it’s such a basic thing to own but I’ve never remembered to just get on myself. So, my dad bought me one and it’s even personalised too! As someone who gets really bad period cramps, this will be a lifesaver.
Next year we’re really focusing on doing the house up and one of the rooms I’m wanting to transform is the spare room. Right now it’s a bit of a dumping ground as we have no wardrobes and no flooring in the loft to store things. But, we’re planning on turning it into my dressing/makeup room so I wanted a few bits to make it look a bit nicer while we wait to get some fitted wardrobes and makeup desk installed. This feather lampshade my gran got me already makes the room look so much cosier and I have high hopes for this room!
Audrey Hepburn Print
My gran also got me an Audrey Hepburn print for the spare room too which I love. I’ve been a huge fan of Audrey since I was a teen and this print definitely adds a bit of glamour to the room!
My mum got me a Thomas Kinkade Disney Beauty and the Beast puzzle which I’ve already started doing. I genuinely don’t remember the last time I did a puzzle so this will definitely take me a while. It’s 1000 pieces and I expect to have it finished by next December haha.
I love Alpacas so much so Santa brought me an adorable Alpaca calendar! I can’t wait to put this up on the wall on my side of the bed so I can wake up every morning to the cute and fluffy Alpacas!
My husband also fed my candle addiction, something he swore he’ll stop doing haha, and got me two new full-sized Christmas Yankee Candles! I got Mandarin Cranberry which is a deliciously fruity, festive scent and Christmas Cookie which is one of my favourite scents this time of year!
That’s pretty much everything I got for Christmas this year. Sorry, it was such a long post! I also got a few other little bits such as a Tamagotchi from Santa, Harry Potter Sorting Hat chocolate, socks, sea monkeys (random I know haha) hot chocolate bombs, the Polar Express DVD, an apron and oven gloves and a tacky Christmas dinner tree decoration I’ve wanted since last year haha.
I hope you all enjoyed this post. Let me know in the comments if you also received any of these as Christmas gifts. Or what your favourite gift this year was. If you have a similar, what I got for Christmas 2020 post, make sure to link it below so I can have a read!
