My Honeymoon Clothing Wishlist
If all goes to plan and a second wave of the Coronavirus doesn’t throw us into another full-blown lockdown, I’ll be flying out to Mauritius on my honeymoon in November! After the mess of this year, a 2 week all-inclusive trip to the beautiful, tropical island will be very much needed. I’m way more excited for the honeymoon than the wedding haha. I can’t wait to just lounge on a sandy white beach with a cocktail in hand looking out at the clear blue sea. It’ll be incredible!
I’ve started looking and buying a few beachwear bits in preparation and I’ve added loads to various wishlists which I thought would be fun to share with you. So, here’s everything currently on my honeymoon clothing wishlist.
ASOS Design Tie Back Beach Sundress
Firstly, I thought I’d show a couple of bits that I’ve already bought that was on my wishlist. Summer clothes and beachwear, in general, is already way out of my comfort zone. But, I thought I’d push the boat even further and get things that I’ve always liked but was never brave enough to wear. Which includes this cute little beach dress. I get very uncomfortable showing a lot of skin, especially my arms and stomach so this was brave for me haha. I really like it though. It’s very cute and comfortable and will be perfect going from the beach to grab some lunch.
ASOS Design Recycled Twist Front Cut Out Swimsuit
This was another item that I would never normally wear but again, I thought I’d be brave. I’ve been working so hard to lose weight and tone up and am slowly seeing some progress so I thought I’d treat myself to a cut-out swimsuit. While it’s super cute I’m still a little self-conscious wearing it. But, I’ve still got a few months of hard work to go so hopefully by then I’ll be confident enough to wear it to the beach! I really like the pattern of this and it is a super flattering fit.
Ted Baker Samba V Neck Cover-Up
My fiance very kindly treated me to this beautiful cover-up from Ted Baker during their summer sale and I absolutely love it. It’s comfy and floaty with pretty colours, a few little sparkly bits and is easy to throw on over a swimsuit. I think it really fits in with the tropical vibes and can see myself wearing it a lot over there.
ASOS Design Recycled Mix and Match Bikini
I have NEVER owned a bikini in my life! But I think this one is absolutely adorable and would love to be confident enough to wear it on my honeymoon. It’s the same pattern as the once piece ASOS swimsuit I bought (can you tell I’m a fan of this design?) and has been sitting in my wishlist for quite some time. I love the high waisted bottoms with the little frill around it and think it would look quite flattering on. The top has underwire support too which, as a bigger bust girl, is exactly what I need!
Peek & Beau Fuller Bust Exclusive Textured Cut Out Swimsuit
This swimsuit is super cute and I love the colours. I’ve noticed, while on my beachwear hunt, that I’m a fan of these cut-out styles. I think they’ll look super flattering as they hide the part of my stomach that I’m most conscious of. Again, this swimsuit is designed for fuller bust girls so I assume it’ll be pretty supported. I just think it’s very pretty and I love the texture of the bottom half as it makes it quite unique in my opinion.
South Beach Orange Shimmer Cut Out Swimsuit
Yep, it’s another cut-out swimsuit haha. But how gorgeous does it look though?! I love how bright and vibrant it is. It’s definitely eye-catching and we all know that I love a bit of boldness and colour in my wardrobe and makeup. I’m not sure how I feel about the cut-out sides as my hips are a problem area for me but it’s definitely something I’d be willing to try!
ASOS DESIGN Mixed Sequin Floaty Playsuit in Blush
For evening’s out or a day trip into the town, I think something like this would be really lovely. Playsuits are so comfortable and this one is adorable. I love the colour and the floral top half. It’s very dainty, and elegant and pretty and would make a nice change from only wearing swimsuits haha.
River Island Bikini
This is definitely the bravest and most revealing item on my list. It’s something I would love to be brave enough to strut around in. I’m a big fan of the criss-cross design and the gold glitter details. I think it’s super pretty and looks really comfortable too. I’m definitely working towards being able to wear something like this.
Pour Moi High Line V Neck Control Swimsuit
Last on my list is this super glam, black and white stripe swimsuit. It looks amazing on the model and seems like it’s a really flattering fit. Black and white striped clothing always just makes me think of Beetlejuice so that’s a plus too haha. I like that your eye is immediately drawn to the top half of the swimsuit and just think it looks really classy and sophisticated.
That’s everything on my honeymoon clothing wishlist so far. Let me know in the comments which is your favourite!
