Where to Find Autumn Homeware 2022

The end of summer is near. While for some, that brings a wave of sadness as the nights get darker and the days turn colder, for others, it’s a sweet relief. Finally, we autumn lovers can thrive as we bury ourselves under blankets, cosy up with hot chocolate and pumpkin-scented candles, get stuck in a good book on a chilly evening and enjoy all the nostalgia that autumn brings.

If you want to get into the autumn spirit early by adding some new autumnal decor to your home but aren’t sure where to go just yet, you’ve come to the right place. Here, I’ll be sharing with you some of my favourite places that have snuck in autumn, Halloween and even a few Christmas decor pieces early so you can start shopping now.

1. Homesense

The moment June turns into July, you can bet I’m racing down to Homesense, a hopeful smile on my face and a chilled Starbucks drink in hand, to scour the aisles searching for any signs of autumn. And, usually, I find it. Little bits and pieces such as autumn-themed handtowels, blankets maybe even a candle or two are dotted around sporadically and it always brings me immense amounts of joy to find them. As we come into September, their seasonal aisle will be full of autumn and Halloween homeware goodies to get your hands on. But, be quick as very soon it’ll be changing over to Christmas!

2. TK Maxx

TK Maxx is part of Homesense and so, very often, most of the items are the same. But you may find some treasures here that you couldn’t see in Homesense. Or vice versa. For some reason, my local TK Maxx seems to stock more autumn/Halloween candles than my local Homesense. So, if I ever go off the radar, you’ll probably be able to find me in the candle aisle at TK Maxx, smelling all of the pumpkin goodness. Again, both TK Maxx and Homesense switch over from autumn to Christmas very early, so get down there now to avoid disappointment.

3. Next Home

Every year Next Home brings out some incredible autumn/Halloween decor that will get your home feeling spooky and cosy. This year is no exception. From duvet sets and bath mats to pumpkin storage baskets and casserole dishes, they have everything you need to add a seasonal touch to your home. Whether you want some subtle decorations, like a neutral, pumpkin-shaped soap dispenser or you want to go all out with a black Halloween door bow or Halloween tree, Next Home never disappoints this time of year.

4. Anthropologie

Though a little on the expensive side, the autumn homeware in Anthropologie is beautiful! Right now, they’re also starting to bring out little Christmas pieces on their website. So, it’s a good time to place your order and stock up before they undoubtedly sell out. Anthropologie home decor is very whimsical and their autumn pieces are no different. With floral pumpkin mugs and candles to woodland-inspired doormats and plates, it’s perfect for those who want to add small autumn touches here and there.

5. Asda Home

When it comes to Halloween items, Asda is one of the first places I’ll go to. They also have fun, quirky Halloween decorations and, in my opinion, the best seasonal bedding. This year, they have some Nightmare Before Christmas-themed throws, cushions and hand towels which, of course, I have my eye on. Adorable, fun and affordable, I’d suggest you pop down to your local Asda now and get a head start on your Halloween decorations.

6. Tesco Home

Similarly, Tesco Home has also started to bring out its seasonal homeware range. Currently, in some stores, they have some very cute kitchen items, such as a pumpkin-shaped chopping board, which I bought recently and am using to display some other seasonal pieces on my dining table. Soon enough, once the schools all go back, their seasonal aisle will also be in full swing with Christmas chocolate and treats. I also really enjoy browsing their gifting sections as it’s ideal for little stocking filler ideas. They also tend to have some fun Halloween decorations and baking kits too so keep an eye out as it’ll all be coming over the next few weeks!
